My family and I are moving to the area the end of June, Virginia Beach, and I was just wondering what area's would be the best for us. We're looking for a house rental with at least two bedrooms and one bath for about $1200 a month. We really need a decent sized yard that's fenced in bvecause my son would rather live outside no matter what the weather. Any help at all will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.

What can I do next?

We live in the VB area. There are quite a few really good neighborhoods around here. Kempsville is a nice, quiet area where most of my husband's family lives. This website, if you type in the zip, or possibly just the city name, will tell you all of the registered sex offenders. I love using this tool when I move to a new location. Having young children in the world today can be dangerous, so I like to know what kind of people are living around me. www.familywatchdog.us
I'm not sure of price ranges for homes around here, but I can tell you that the clean, quiet places will probably show little to no offenders in the area. My husband's family lives near the Kempsville Rec center, zip code 23464, and you can see on the chart that there are no offenders in a large area around there. Good luck in moving! Feel free to ask any more questions about the area.

Hi A.
I am a realtor with William E WSood in Va Beach - would love to help you find a rental. Would you like to be close to work? You have an excellent price range so you do not have to worry about that.I have lived in Virginia Beach since I was four - so definitely am in love with raising kids here. I have two grown daughters ages 23 and 26 (the oldest sells Real estate with me!) and Mia is 2 1/2! I have been married 27 years - crazy huh?

Anyway, feel free to call me if you would like my help....
thanks! ###-###-####

We live in the Kempsville area of Virginia Beach and really enjoy it. CLose to everything, great schools (although our little ones are still too young) and not too far from the interstate.

Hi A.,
I currently have my home on the market but would be willing to consider renting it out. I can send pictures and give you neighborhood info. I already have a place lined up for me to go to. I have a 3 bedroom 2 1/2 bath townhouse with a 6 foot privacy fence, shed and cedar swing set in the backyard. I have hardwood floors downstairs, carpet upstairs, granite countertops and a fireplace. Its 1600+ square feet and its an end unit. The school district is Thalia which is SOL accredited and excellent, my children have attend in that district. The rent would be $1350. Please let me know if you are interested. You check the home out at http://prudentialdeckerrealty.com/homesrch.htm and enter mls ####-###-####
