first.....take a deep breathe and release. :) sounds like you have it set you will be fine.
You would think that I've done this 3 times already and would have it down. I'm so overwhelmed with EVERYTHING that I can barely think, let alone straight.
It has been 6 years since the last move and we didn't have children at the time.
What am I forgetting to set up/ take care of?
*flying back to find a house in another week
*have let landlord know we are leaving via email and in compliance with lease dates
*have rental truck reserved (end of July)
Will need a new bank, car insurance person, pediatrician, and will need new driver's licenses (within 30 days). What else?
So frazzled! Thanks for your help!
My husband is transferring with the company....so no real changes there. I have worked very part time before, but may not have to if we can find a place that is in our budget. (Same salary, cheaper state = happy mommy)
Oh, and preschool has been found and registration forms being filled out. (Have 3 1/2 and 14 month old)
Keep 'em coming. :)

If you have jobs lined up, childcare would be needed.
Notify post office of change of address?
Also new doctors, dentists, eye dr, vet if needed- I'm guessing you already know all of those.
Calling any bills you pay now to let them know when to stop service in your name and also to start the new ones once you have a house. water, electric, gas, cable, trash, etc
Renters insurance if you have it or need insurance on your things while moving to let your company know
Car registration once you are moved and new plates
That is everything I can think of now- we are getting ready to move too :)
If you haven't already, check out real estate agents.
Make sure any prescriptions are refilled.
Check out school districts.
cable tv cancelled? net flix, or any other thing that comes and needs to be sent back. does your cell phone have roaming charges that need to be changed? I dont have a cell phone, so I have just heard this stuff, not sure how it really works. Get all your neighborhood friends addresses,, you will want to write later and not remember their house numbers. mechanic records for the car?
My suggestion would be to type a letter out saying that you are leaving your current place with your dates of move, and all the info, and print it out, sign it and keep a copy for your records.
I have watched too much people's court haha. And that is always one of them.
Dont forget about changing over your cars registration, and licence plates.
Best wishes, and deep breaths! It will work out soon, and before you know it you will be all settled in!
