So What Happened?

Thank you all so much, I have a grandson that is 6. I will think about it and talk it over with my daughter.

I own this movie and I think it would be ok for kids around the age of 13 or higher, only because they can tell its not real and know it's not going to happen. But it's really parents preference.

When ever you feel your child understands it is FICTION.
I saw it when it first came out, and there was an adult woman right behind me in the theater who couldn't get that through her head. She sobbed all the way through it !

My son will be 11 in June and he wanted to see this movie so bad. I ended up renting it and he got bored less than half way through and turned it off.

I would think 12 or older is a good age. If it holds the kids interest long enough, there are some pretty scary scenes as far as destruction and stuff goes...so that may be hard to explain to kids younger than that.

But I think it all depends on your child, too.
