Does anyone know of any alternative/non-medicinal treatments for motion sickness in a 2 year old? TIA

I know they don't want children riding in the front seat anymore, because of air bags etc. but I had one child, (before these rules and airbags) that would get sick at her stomach, and doest to this day as an adult if she rides in the back, doesn't effect her so much in the front. She has tried to be polite and not let people know and ride in the back and then get sisck every time. I don't know what the difference is, but somehow it is. I know this doesn't help your question much, but you might check at a health food store, and see if there was someing in a home remedy that wouldn't be meds that would help , like ginger.
H.,
My hubby is a nurse and was taught that ice or something else that is really cold, placed over one or both sides of the neck (over the carotid arteries) is the only way to help without meds. It has something to do with the blood being cooled down that makes it go away. We've tried it and it does work! He's used it in the ER too. Good luck!
peppermint candies work for my daughter and I. Because I worry about her choking on the round candies I stock up on the tiny candy canes at xmas time and keep a few in the car. our dentist would probably not be pleased but its better than her feeling sick and having to clean the car and car seat.
