Christine J. hit it on the nose about absorbent pull ups being an oxymoron! Maybe you just need to do a diaper at night...that would drive me crazy having wet sheets every morning. You might as well put undies on the little bugger :)
I'm in the midst of potty training and am using Huggies pull-ups for naps and at night. Wet sheets almost every am. Which brand/make have you ladies found to be the most absorbant?

'Absorbant Pull-Up' is an oxymoron. They aren't designed to hold much.
Use a real diaper--so much cheaper. Don't get me on my Pull-Up rant. I SO regret using them and wa$ting my money on them. Wish I figured it out sooner. :(
We are working on potty training too. I use regular diapers at nap/bedtime. I found the White Cloud pull-ups (from Wal-Mart) hold in a lot, more like regular diapers. The Huggies seem to keep wetness on surface so the kid feels that they've gone to the bathroom.
Pull-Ups aren't supposed to be used like diapers, and therefore they're not as absorbent as diapers. They're supposed to get uncomfortably wet and yes, leak, so that they're uncomfortable and motivate the child to toilet train. If you want absorbent then you need diapers.
I really like the Target brand.
Good Nites are the best for this.
While I have always stuck to Luvs for diapers, we have found that Pampers makes the most absorbent pull-ups for our little guy... he just turned 3 and wants NOTHING to do with the potty!
I have found that the night time pull up brand is pretty absorbant and not too terribly expensive. (You don't need a diaper for that.)
Since potty training is about being aware of needing to "go" and getting to the toilet on time, and night "training" is not about this at all, but about growing to the point that the bladded no longer needs emptying at night, they are not related. If your child still pees during the night every night, he needs diapering, not a pullup. His bladder is clearly not mature enough to hold pee all night, so he should still be diapered. A pullup is not meant to hold full pees or multiple pees.
You know what I had to do? I used a pull up AND one of those washable training pants (ordered ours from onestepahead.com) over it. After a couple months my daughter's body must have changed because she started waking up occassionally to use the bathroom in the middle of the night & then stopped peeing during the night so it was safe to go back to just the pull up. She still goes sometimes in the early morning or doesn't wake up in the night to use the bathroom so we're not completely through though with the pullups- she's been daytime dry forever but I guess you can't rush physiology.
Good nights. They're amazing. We just switched and it makes such a difference. You can get them for a really good price at Amazon, use the subscribe and save and sign up for Amazon Mom and you 30% off.
