So I have tried a few things to help like sniffing a lemon, crackers, toast, water, juice, soup, and that's just a few..And nothing has worked about 30 mins after I eat. It all comes right back up!!! I feel so hungry!!!!! But cant keep anything down!! PLEASE HELP!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What can I do next?

I knew I was pregnant with my second one, very early..had that horrible sick feeling AGAIN. The best I can tell you is to buy some of those Ginger cookies, and try Fresca. One of the reasons I wouldn't go for number three!

I was just like you until my sister in law suggested drinking pediasure (the little plastic bottles for small children). You can find them next to the formula and baby food.

Her Obgyn told her about it... It helps line your stomach, is okay for the fetus and provides you with extra nutrician. I know I was so sick all the time I wondered if my baby was starving! Turns out she wasn't --- weighed over 8lbs at birth!

Of, course DON'T drink them just for your meals, but once or twice a day works well.

the only thing that worked for me was taking vitamin B-6 (my MIL is a nurse, so she wold me about this with my first!) you can take 70mg/day safely, so if you are taking pre-natal vitamins you will want to see how much is already in there. i think the B-6 i took was about 30mg. but it worked like a charm for both my pregnancies! the only days i got sick was when i forgot to take it!!! just make sure you tell your dr. you're taking it and how much. good luck!!!

My sister-in-law suffered from hyperemesis (extreme morning sickness). She found taking 1/2 a Unisom and extra vitamin B6 every night helpful. Of course check with your doc before taking any meds when pregnant, even over-the-counter stuff.

With me what helped was slowly nibbling on a peanut butter cracker before getting out of bed in the morning. And eating small bites of protein throughout the day.

My chiropractor showed me the acupressure points used to treat nausea and pressing those points helped somewhat.

Good luck!

I was sick like that with my first...it was AWFUL! I went into the hospital 4 times during my pregnancy due to dehydration from not being able to keep anything down. One thing that worked for me was popsicles. I knew when I couldn't keep those down to call my doctor because I couldn't keep down anything else. That doesn't really help the sickness feeling, but it did help me to not get dehydrated. Eventually the doctor perscribed me a perscription called Zofran. That really helped.
Good luck!

Hi P.
We have 4 pregnancies in my family right now all are different.
Your OBGYN can give you a prenatal vitamin that can help you, and the B-6, and anything with real Ginger in it, and pickles may help.
I was very sick with my first child 17 yr ago they had too hydrate my with IV's because dehydration is very bad for the baby. I stayed sick the whole 9 months.
Good luck to you, Some Dr.s are scared to harm the baby. I have a book that I use called The Green Pharmacy: It's recommendations for morning sickness are:
Ginger
Peppermint
Cabbage
Peach tea
Raspberry tea
Citrus Fruit

Hi! OMG I had the worst morning sickness my doc said she had ever seen. I lost 40 pounds in like 6 weeks! They tried everything but the only scrip that helped me and it was a life-saver, literally, was Zofran. Its a med that is normally given to people going thru chemo but was the only thing that helped me. It was great and you will be able to eat until your hearts content!

Congratulations on your pregnancy!
I actually lost weight my first trimester with #1. At the end of the first trimester, some switch flipped and I could suddenly eat again. What worked in the mean time was to eat lots of snacks and forget trying to eat a big meal.
Ginger is good for upset stomachs. I would get straight ginger though and try cooking with it. I struggled with borderline gestational diabetes, so cookies were not an option. Besides, what you eat needs to be healthy! for your sake and your baby's sake!

Reason # 1 my husband won't let me get pregnant again. Both of my pregnancies where like that for almost the 9 months, everytime gets worse. I used to eat a lot of watermelon and butter candies. The candies helped a lot but I had to have one in my mouth constantly. My doctor told me not to worry - that was a sign that the baby was very healthy and sure they were/are. How far are you? I think that since your previous pregnancies were fine I don't think the nauseas will last long. Probably it will stop after the 3rd month. Good luck!

Have you tried sea sickness bands? I had the same issue as you with all 3 of my boys but friends mentioned trying the sea sickness bands. They didn't help me but maybe they will work for you. If it gets really bad you can have your doctor prescribe something.

See a doctor to find out if there is a problem in your pregnancy more than morning sickness causing this to happen.

IF it's not medical, I can only telly ou that Ginger in all it's forms (cookies, ale, natural herb) is a natural way to settle your stomach.

If you have tried this and it hasn't worked, I am sorry. It was the only thing that ended up working for me.

Good luck.
