Hi, I was wondering if anyone out there has tried MonaVie (for themselves) and what was the outcome, good or bad? If you would rather send a personal note, please do. Thanks so much in advance.

What can I do next?

I just started it a few days ago and I think I have already seen an improvement in my sleep. From what I hear, you need to be on it for a few weeks before you see the best results. I got it from my friend who is a distributor. He said if you pay $40 you can become a distributor and then you can get it at cost. This is probably what I will do since it is so expensive! I have talked to a number of people who take it themselves or know people who do and I have only heard positive things.

Good luck!

I tried it and I loved it, but I only tried it a couple of times, and you are supposed to drink it twice a day consistently for a couple of weeks to see results. My good friend is also a trainer and fitness teacher, and she distributes the juice on the side, so let me know if you need a distributor - she is the BEST at health, food, and exercise advice! Anyway, she swears that it has helped her sleep better, eased her PMS symptoms, and just made her feel more energetic all around. I would love to try it for a longer period of time but it is a bit pricey and I can't do it with two kids in day care and the holidays around the corner! Let us know if you do go for it - I am curious if others besides my friend and her family see positive results.

Hi L.,
I've been using Mona Vie for a year now and I have noticed a difference. It's a great product and although there are many products out there using the "acai" berry in them....as with most products....you get what you pay for!! It increases my energy level, helps my joints and I believe helps maintain my weight.

It's expensive but when you break it down daily it's less than a cup of coffee with better results.

Hi L..
I have tried monavie and it does work however I feel it is extremely expensive. The first thing that your immune system does is fights free radicals. An antioxidant fights free radicals and frees your immune system up to fight disease and sickness. That is why many say it's a cure all because no matter what you have your immune system is freed up to fight it. Monavie is just an expensive antioxidant. I have a product that works better than monavie and is much more reasonably priced. I have a product called OPC3 and it's 69.95 for a 90 day supply or 29.95 for a 30 day supply. My product is an isotonic base which means that it's a powder and when mixed with water it becomes the same tonicity as your blood, sweat and tears and it's absorbed into your body immediately. It's the best way to take a vitamin or supplement. If you would like to try it let me know and I will give you my mamasource discount. :)

PS. A friend of mine is a monavie distributor and she buys my OPC3 for her mom....what does that tell you? I don't think she can afford her own product at her cost.

Hi L. :)

I haven't tried MonaVie, only because I tried Mistica first, and I've stuck with it. I've found it to have helped my allergies immensely, and I've had fewer bugs, and the few I've had, are much milder and quicker to get over. My brother-in-law has seen improvements with inflamation and relief from many of his symptoms with MS.

I'm sure all of those nutritional drinks have their health benefits, so using anyone is better than none. :)

Nutrition is the way to go. My family uses Reliv. It is a supplement and we have seen great results with: Asthma, IBS, Stress and Blood Sugar. Yes they are expensive, but they work and now adays we can not get the nutrition we need from our food supplies since the soils are so depleted. Nutrition Supplements are the best!!!
Best of Luck!

I never heard of it so I read the below responses. I looked at the newsweek link. I am in doubt that one drink is going to be a cure-all. I do believe that it is probably loaded with good nutrition, such as anti-oxidants. People are probably drinking it in place of something else that was not as healthy. So they are getting more nutrition.

There are other drinks that use tha acai berry. You can buy and eat them by hand. I'm guessing those options would be less expensive.

Eating fresh, healthy food will help you feel better than if you eat processed, packaged foods (which are ususally loaded with salt and sugar). Also what you choose to drink. Water, 100% fruit juices, vegetable juice, nut drinks are better for your body than soda and juice drinks with the added sugars. Berries are loaded with anti-oxidants, more than other fruits. Lean meat for energy. You do need good fats (Omega 3 especially) - canola and olive oil, avacados, nuts and seeds, seafood - for your brain.

Have not tried it but this article was interesting. It does not tell ya much, however it makes you realize the money being made on this product!
