I am looking for "mommy" or play groups to join in my area. I've tried the San Antonio route, but it would be easier to find mom's and play groups closer to home. Does anyone know of any organized groups of this kind? Thank you and I enjoy reading and learning from all of your postings.

If you are in Canyon Springs you may not be in ours, not sure (78261 and Bulverde/Spring Branch area). There are also MOPS groups that meet at churches through the school year!

Hi L., I am a mommy of one. My son will be 3 in May. I am in a mommy group called "Stay at home mommies of SA" I live off of Overlook Parkway. They do things all over San Antonio, from Big Top Kids which is Stone Oak Prkway, to walks in the parks. Sometimes I travel to go to an event, but Its worth it. The girls in my group are SUPER nice. There are also other mom groups found on the site.. Meetup.com that is were I found them! Good luck!

I live in Bulverde - try some of the local churches, they might be able to help you.
Check with churches about a young mom's Bible study group so your child can be in the nursury and also check online about a MOPS group in that area. A.
