I love Shaklee's Enfuselle. It works in days not weeks. It also has a 100% money back guarantee, so you can't lose.
I am trying to get some more information about how to fix my face. I'm curious about different spa facials, treatments and etc verses home do-it-yourself products and ideas. I am 20+ weeks prego and am embarrassed to admit that I'm lousy at taking care of my face and it shows. I'm red, blotchy, and rough-textured (ok, the word that is much less appealing but applies--crusty. My poor face is like--crusty. Ewwww...) My makeup just sits on the surface and looks terrible! My current (4+ years) regemine (sp?) is simply to wash with Dove bar wash and add a little lotion (Yes to Carrots--Target) when I get a chance. I've tried facial washes and lotions with SPF but they chew up my face--even the sensitive stuff. I know my main problem is that I'm cheap--it kills me to spend more than $10 on a single item for me. But I'm feeling like it's too important now to stick with my cheapness.
So where I'm at now is that I need good products, but also, I need to remove my layer of mess. I know there are a lot of self do-it products: microdermabrasion, peels and scrubs. I'm also considering going to a spa or cosm-ist to get something done about it. If you recommend I go to a spa--what should I have done: moisturizing stuff or peels or what?
I'm turning a corner and re-dedicating myself to better skin care and if anyone else has used/had done any of the above mentioned ideas or more, tell me how it worked and what you would recommend.
***Not to be offensive---but if you sell products, please don't plug them in here unless you REALLY believe it would help; no plugs hoping for a sale. Please. Thanks.

Pamper yourself with a facial. I love St Ives products. No animal testing and not expensive at all. The apricot scrub is great and the olive cleanser is really nice.
I don't know what kind of spas you have in your area, but Red Door by Elizabeth Arden Spas are amazing. You could go & get a sensitive skin facial & they could recommend what products you might want to try on a regular basis.
Never tried a spa but you could try an exfoliating scrub at home.
Neutrogena has great products for sensitive skin.
Daily I use Neutrogena hydration eye cream and eucerin spf face lotion and always get compliments on my skin. I normally don't wear any makeup other than eye and lips but It is essential to moisturize before putting on makeup.
You should go to a good medical spa for a consult. They are usually free and the esthetician will analyze your skin and suggest products to use. She will also advise on procedures that would be beneficial. You need to watch though being preg-many skin products contain retinol which you cannotuse while pregnant.
One more thing-I am not cheap at all when it comes to skincare and have used some of the priciest product out there. I am currently into a line called C. Booth that you can get at Rite Aid that IMO is outrageously good. Esp. their glycolic acid retex peel-this stuff has made my skin nicer than the professional peels I was getting every month. It is also mild and does not sting my skin. I swear I have not had one blemish in months where I used to get a random hormonal zit or 2.
Watch Olay-it gets great reviews but it stings the heck out of my skin. Very harsh.
Once you have the baby you should absolutely add retin a or somthing similiar into the mix-it is the gold standard in skincare and the ONLY proven wrinkle reducer. A good skin spa will help you start one with min irritation.
go treat yourself to a facial- first and foremost...
then- look into neutrogena or olay products. they are affordable and effective.
good luck!
I don't do much either, but wash my face with the CVS version of Cetaphyl cleanser, including my eyes, it does not sting. Then I use a pretty heavy moisturizer, the CVS version of Nivea Soft, which is about $6/big jar. If I need SPF or my skin is less dry when it is humid in the summer I use Oil of Olay SPF 15 for sensitive skin. Neutrogena has some higher SPF facial creams if you burn easily. But with everyone low on vitamin D (or is that just the latest craze and next year we will be warned away from it) perhaps I should stop wearing sun screen like some are advising now.
I have always wanted to get a facial as well, but I am not sure if I would buy spa products since I prefer to get them at CVS which is more easily accessible for me.
PD: Cetaphyl also makes a lotion which is probably good for ultra sensitive skin.
The Mary Kay time wise line is fantastic! I get compliments on how smooth my skin looks all the time! All products are 100% guaranteed and you can try before you buy!
Mary Kay!!!!! Their microdermabrasion is awesome! LOVE IT!
