Hi since i had my daughter in 2004 my period has been messed up too! I got my tubes tied at the same time. I'm still not regular it takes time.
Hello!! I havent received a period in three months LMP 9/4/06!!! and im not pregnant. I had a baby in Feb. 06 and my cycle started up about a month after and was on time every month there after until Oct. The doctor wants me to start on progesterone to "kick start it". I guess my question is "has this happened to anyone else? and are there any side affects with the progesterone pill"? I had taking stuff like that. I do have hypothyroidism and see the Dr. regularly for this but my BW came back ok and is not low enough to cause missed periods. I am soo putting off taking this pill. Help!!!!
Hi since i had my daughter in 2004 my period has been messed up too! I got my tubes tied at the same time. I'm still not regular it takes time.
I've taken those pills to regulate my period. It was very irregular and could never tell when I was ovulating in order to try and get pregnant. I would try. You shou;dn't worry too much about it.
i had the same problem after i had my son, i never got my period again after i had him, i can't say that i missed it, becuz i didn't, but it was frustrating.... you still feel like your going to get it and all the PMS that comes with it, but it never comes. No pill or shot i had worked, even though i still too BC just so i didn't get pregnant. But the funny thing was that when i stopped taking the pill becuz my doc wanted me to go on fertility drugs to see if that helped, i got pregnant 3 weeks after i stopped the pill.... don't believe a doctor when he says you can't have kids, they said that to me about my son, and the baby i'm pregnant with now.... it's unfortunate that no one has the 100% right answer, and i hope that whatever your doctor prescibes for you works.... none the less it is frustating being a female and if men only knew..... :) good luck! (don't be afraid to request a second opinion, either!)
I was alway missing periods, I actually went on depo provera shots for BC and when I stopped taking it I returned to a 28 day cycle which I had never had in my life. A little about me I am a mom of two girls ages 11 and 13, and I am expecting my third child next July. Good Luck if you trust your doctor follow his advise. The only side effect you may have is a weight gain of maybe 10 lbs, but once you stop taking it you should return to your normal weight with out any problems.

Hello.
I have a similar problem. When I was younger my period was always very heavy and inconsistant. I was 19 when they did an ultrasound that found a cyst. It was removed promptly along with the ovary it was attached to, It was the size of a large grapefruit and solid. After that my periods were shorter, lighter and for the most part consistant. Then I got pregnant and breastfead my daughter til she was nearly 18mos, still it took until she was nearly 2 for my periods to start again. Now they are back to inconsistant, a week or two late and even over 2months overdue. I am not pregnant..goodness I haven't even had sex since I was 5 mos pregnant. The latest period was 2 mos late, I had one in August then not until the week before Thanksgiving...I was so miserable..I never got to see my doctor because it came before my appointment.
I did hear of something called PCOS. There are other factors that go into it and they are some of what I'm going through including missed or inconsistient periods and hair loss. I need to be tested for it..
I kind of sympathize with you. I never get my period. I started when I was 16, then wouldn't get it for months at a time. It took me 11 years to get pregnant with my son, then my period went right back to the way it was. Doctors can't find anything wrong with me, they've checked it all. I'm trying to get pregnant again and it's tough. Good luck.
Wow I thought I was going crazy I havent seen a period since it seen me, lol. My daughter was born 8/2 and I still have not seen a period, but I thought if I stressed that wouldn help.
Hi just wanted to say I was having the same problem after I had my son and thought it was nothing, even the doc said just wait but a month later he did a sonogram and found a huge cyst on my ovary. I had I removed 2 weeks ago and now I'm fine (recovery was like a day even though I had actually ruptured it-my fault doing to much:)) and on my period ;) but just have it checked out if you haven't already.Mine grew from nothing (the first time I went to doc) and about a month 1/2 later it was the size of a grapefuit. This is no big deal but I suggest maybe getting the opinion of another doc.good luck!
I had the same issue as you. I was suppose to get my period and I did not. Did a pregency test (on the 28th,30 and 40 day)which showed I wasn't pregenent. Called my doctor, she had me do a blood test, which also showed that I wasn't pregenent. Basically, my doctor gave me an the same pill and 7 days later, I got my period. My period has not been the same since then. My cycle used to be a perfect 28th day I would get my period, but now I get it every 40 days. So this may be happening to you. Don't worry everything will work out, your body may have really changed after having a baby. That is what my body did.
