i had 2 miscarriages last year after my first baby. i was told to wait 2 cycles to start again. i did and got pg immedicately. now have a 9 month old boy.good luck.
unfortunately, i just miscarried and was wondering if anyone can guide me as to how long it takes for the hcg level to go down to 0? i took this loss pretty hard since i was of course very excited for this pregnancy.

I am so sorry about your loss. I myself have had 4--3 in the first trimester and one in the late 2nd trimester. All of them were devestating and my recovery time for each varied. My Drs told me to wait between 2-3 months after each loss before trying again. This gives time for your body to heal. One of my first trimester mcs took over 10 weeks to complete the process. I would have had a D&C but we did not realize that the mc was incomplete (long story but it is related to the type of uterus I have--at the time we thought that I had two of them!). Anyway, I wish you all the best as you begin to recover. You may also find that you are more anxious than usual when fall pregnant again. This is totally normal. Don't let anyone tell you to just get over it because you need to fully explore your emotions before you can move on. ((Hugs))
J.,
I'm so sorry to hear about your loss. I miscarried last June at 7 weeks and I was pregnant again in July. I am now almost 7 months along with a healthy pregnancy. If you want to try again right away speak to your doctor. My doctor told me to wait until after my next period, but I never got my period. I've heard that its very common to get pregnant again right away, something to do with the hormone levels maybe.
Good luck,
R.
I am so, so sorry for your loss and I have gone through it in the pass and recently. I loss one five years ago, almost lost my oldest, had two more boys and I miscarried two times in 2009. I don't recall how long it takes for the hcg level to go down to 0 but if it drops from bloodwork two different times with two days apart then it's a sign. Now, have you pass anything? If you haven't, let me know and I will try my best to explain what to expect because no one told me really what to expect and I was SCARED. Then I can tell you what my opinions are about D & C and why I didn't have it done the second time because of not good experiences. Just let me know if you want to contact me and ask me. I'd be glad to help you and walk you through it.
I'm so sorry. I had two miscarriages, so I know how bad your feeling. It took a few days to a week after the heavy bleeding started to get back to zero. I did not have a DNC, so I don't know how long it takes after one to get back to zero. After the two miscarriages i switched gynecologist and got pregnant with a healthy boy.
so sorry to hear this & know you are going through this. I miscarried in 2004, and it took me a few weeks, b/c i did not have a d&c. I believe if you do(did) it is much quicker. take care of yourself.
I'm so very sorry for your loss. It took me 3wks for the hcg levels to be at 0.
I am so sorry for your loss. I too miscarried a few months ago at 8 weeks. I had a D & C & it took me a couple of weeks to feel "back to normal" physically. I still feel the loss emotionally. Give yourself some time to grieve & heal before you try again, I've given myself 4 months before I try again.
I also suffered a miscarriage, it really will depend on how far along you were and how high HCG level had gotten. I went every other day for just over a week for HCG test until it was not at 0 but low enough to the point where my Dr knew that my miscarriage was complete and did not need a DNC. I am truly sorry for your loss. The little life you had will always be as precious as any othe child . Never loose the feeling of love you had. I miscarried 5 years ago and now have a 18 month old daughter, but have never forgotten what it was like to be pregnant for the first time and the thoughts a of a new life.
