Raw goats milk is a great alternative. It cooks the same as cows milk and really tastes pretty good. Chemically it is the closest thing to breast milk you can get.
My son has had a rash on his feet and legs for several months; probably since he was about 9 months old and he is now 18 months. I am pretty sure he has eczema. We have tried a steroid cream from the doctor which didn't help. We have tried lotions and creams otc and they seem to help a little but not completely. In research, I found that milk could be a cause as well as several other foods which are common allergens. I would take him off cow's milk if I could find a suitable alternative but there are so many bad reviews on soy (for hormonal reasons) and rice milk that I am not sure what is best (and we all want to do what is best!!) Any suggestions for milk alternatives or eczema would be much appreciated.

You don't have to live like that! You can do NAET and not have to worry about allergies, they will be naturally and safely ELIMINATED! It is based off of chinese medicine, and is a miracle! The practioner I went to for my son was on the news last night, check it out...

Get you son tested for allergies to foods! The biggies are milk, yeast, wheat, peanut, ect. Soy milk is a good alternative to milk and I too have heard negative reports about soy. My advice is talk to an allergist specializing in pediatrics. My son has eczema since he was born! He is 4 yrs old now and wakes up with bloody sheets from scratching his elbows and knees in his sleep. I did not find out until 1 month ago through a blood allergy test (called a RAST test)that he was allergic to milk, yeast, and mildly allergic to carrots and oats! We spent 3 years trying to treat his skin with creams when he really needed to stop drinking milk and eating foods containg yeast. We still use creams, Elidel is working for him. As well as taking him off the foods he is mildly allergic to. Elidel is controversial, as it has a black lable. ask your doc to expalin. I found the benefits out weighed the risks. We also use Vanicream sold at Costco behind the rx counter. It is a great lotion! It is a daily battle to keep his skin healthy. Our nightly routine involves a warm bath, hydrocortizone all over his legs and arms, Elidel on his knees, elbows and wrists. Mometazone on those same areas, and then Vanicream all over. He also takes a liquid medicine called Hydroxzine at night to sedate him a little to help stop scratching. UGH! it is a lot of work, but some day I hope his knees look normal and he can wake up with out bloody sheets.
In short, find a good allergist! Hope this helps and good luck with your little guy.

My son is three years old now, I have had him on soy milk for awhile and hes doing ok with his health.
Goat's milk. I shared the same problem with my daughter and I will stand by it now. Her skin is beautiful! it is expensive at $3.50 ti $4 per quart at a quart a day. Meyerburg is the only brand available and you can find at most Fry's, Whole Foods and Albertsons. get the fresh not the powdered or canned big taste difference.
Not sure where you would have read bad reviews about rice milk, but that's your best bet out there. It's great for cereal and cooking and even dunking cookies. My son was off dairy for 6 years and that was the staple.
Allergy testing and
Goat's milk and cheeses. My little one is nursing and had a milk allergy so I had to eliminate dairy from my diet. I use some soy substitutes and goat's milk.
Good luck.
Hi A.,
This same exact thing happened to my cousins little boy. They put him on goats milk and he is loving it and doing great! Good luck.
