Yes you can freeze milk. You will have to remove a bit of the milk from the jug if you plan to freeze it in the original container to allow for expansion.

Yes, my mom used to do this. It was fine when thawed.

Yes. It will expand as it freezes so be sure to expect that. As it freezes it will also separate a tiny bit so when you thaw it out you'll need to vigorously shake it. Once you do that it should be just the way it was before you froze it. I did shake mine before I served it but that was just out of habit.

When we got WIC on the kids we got 5-8 gallons at a time and froze them all except the one we were using.

BTW, thaw it out in the fridge. You might sit it in a bowl just in case it got a hole. But thaw it out overnight in the fridge.

Yes. You can freeze milk.

You need to shake it once it's thawed as it will separate.

you need about 4 hours to thaw it - maybe more...

We do it all the time....and have been for years.

Over the past 10 years we have probably had 5 break the seal somewhere on the plastic. We thaw it in a bowl then use the dripped milk in something I am cooking because the outside of the container probably isn't very clean.

Stock up...that is a stinkin' hot dealio!!

I have never done it but I am told yes, I am also told it gets darker when frozen but lightens up when it thaws.
