I know I have asked a LOT of baby names questions with my pregnancy, but we're keeping the names a secret, so you guys are the only ones I can ask for opinions!! :)

So, let me know which you prefer!

1. Oliver Henry
2. Oliver John

Thanks!!

Update: We have a single-syllable last name.

What can I do next?

I think Oliver John goes better. The Henry is too much and doesnt flow.

With the three syllable first name, I'd stick with John. The one syllable works for a better flow. Although I love Henry (that's one of my sons' names).

I love Oliver! John is my favorite of the two, Henry is actually the more common of the two these days. And I think the one syllable goes better with the three syllable first name. Just glad your last name isn't Simpson!

Oh, I love your names!! I love Oliver Henry. I think John sounds like it just cut off too quickly. Of course, your last name might make a difference in the way it flows. But, my vote is for Henry! Enjoy, and congrats!!

I like how Oliver John flows...My concern is that people would call him OJ. If you dont mind that nickname...Then no problem.

I love Oliver henry...It doesnt flow but it is still really cute.

My nephew is Jericho Oliver. They are calling him Ollie...Which i think is sweet...I love the name Oliver.

I wont even vote for a middle name cause it makes no difference to me. Either is fine. I really like Oliver. And it made me laugh cause just the other day someone asked what we thought about a nick names for "Carolina" and I told about our sons nick names. You might want to look at my answers in my profile and see what I said,, Our son is Owen. I can already see the nick names for your son,, Have fun with it!

Alright I cant help it,, I have to say it. Go with Henry and someone is sure to call him "O Henry". Im smiling.

I like Oliver Henry. I have a friend who's child is named Oliver and they call him Olly for short---its so cute! If you do Oliver John, you may have people call him OJ---- I just would probably skip that, but I like the first one best!

I like Oliver Henry, especially with a one-syllable last name.

It sort depends on your last name, too. If you have one-syllable last name, I think John would sound too...light? "Oliver Henry Smith" just sounds more substantial than "Oliver John Smith" to me. Two-syllable last name, I think you could use either one. Three or more syllables, and I'd go with the shorter John.

But I like the "Oliver John Henry" idea, too. At that point, if you are multi-syllable, then it starts to kind of roll off the tongue, I'd think.

i LOVE the first name Oliver, by the way!

i haven't read the other responses, so sorry if this is a repeat. my personal opinion is i don't like oliver as a first name with either of hte middles. what i think would sound good is John Oliver. or John Henry. but, if you like oliver as the first name that's great. Enjoy the new bundle when he gets here.
