It is always wisest to get things like that checked out by your doctor, but it could be something as benign as fibroids, or something more serious.
Hi!
Sorry if this is too much info...but always curious if other's have experienced the same issues and the outcomes.
For the past few months I have had light mid-cycle spotting (red), usually right in the middle. Maybe this will last two days and very light. I have read about ovulation spotting, but I think it would be odd to start at this point and occur over a few months. Also some spotting before and after a period, the time before last. I don't seem to have any other symptoms, and i had a normal pap about three months ago.
Any thoughts? I am always worried about ovarian cancer as well. I am 35 and have two kids, if that means any thing?? And, yes, I'm making an appt with the GYN on Monday.
Thanks!
I ended up getting a water sonogram at my GYN office and the mid cycle spotting turned out to be from an internal c-section scar. Blood collects on there and then mid-cycle, that is what was occurring. Since I had the sonogram, it has decreased and maybe has even gone away. I guess I'm also not obsessing about it, so I haven't watching as closely.

Is your tummy so bloated it looks like you are five months pregnant? You don't have ovarian cancer. Have a CA125 test to put your mind at ease. I had a hysterectomy at 38 after bleeding almost everyday for a year and a half-yet, no disease-it was just nature, and I had five children and it was good. don't take hormones to regulate your cycle-it ruined my life.
Your hormone cycle is in constant change. I started mid-cycle spotting in my late 30s and my periods now much closer and longer than they used to be (now, early 40s). If you're worried about cancer, get checked, but I think it's pretty standard for getting older. Keep us posted!
Good luck at the Dr. Try not to stress about cancer... your age and the early onset of menopause is likely, I have had similar symptoms - shorter and irregular periods (I am 41) .... best of luck!
I too started having similar symptoms about a year or two ago. My OBGYN said she thinks I am peri menopausal. I'm 34. Your body changes all the time. Sometimes stress or other things you are dealing with can effect your cycle as well. Talk with your OB and let her know what's going on. They put me on Nuvaring and my insurance changed about a month later and didn't cover it. I moved shortly after that and my insurance changed again and never bothered trying the pill because I now want to conceive. I am having no luck conceiving. In short, I never got to see if being on birth control would help with my symptoms.
Best of luck to you.
