I had it done once and other than the few hours following the procedure, felt nothing different about my skin. I know they suggest at leasst a 6 course treatment, which I did not do. I'm not sure about dermabrasion helping with the lines, maybe botox for them, but I am not a fan of injecting synthetics into my body.
Try this for an at home treatment - you may be surprised how much it helps with your overall skintone and feel:
1/2 fresh lemon, de-seeded
1 tsp granulated sugar
1 paper towel or facial round
Fold the paper towel several times till the square is about the size of your palm. Squeeze lemon juice on it till it is wet. Sprinkle the sugar on top of that. Squeeze lemon on it again - you cannot get too much of the juice.
Wet your clean face with warm water. Then using the paper towel/sugar/juice, rub all over your face in little circles for several minutes. Don't forget your hairline and jawline. (Keep out of the eyes, and be careful around your undereye since that is your thinnest skin area.)
Rinse with warm water and moisturize immediately afterward.
This is like a quick chemical peel / dermabrasion you can do at home. The lemon is full of vitamins and antioxidants that you skin loves. The sugar is like the diamond tip and exfoliates for you. It's cheap, easy, organic, and you'll love the way your skin feels afterward. Plus, you can do it as often as you like, so long as your skin does not get irritated. ...and a bonus? It tastes like lemonade.
