I was going to suggest the old towel and the iron. It'll melt the chocolate again and then you can wipe it up.
Well as my subject line indicates, as I was cleaning out my van, also known as the fourth child:) I discovered that some form of chocolate has melted into the carpet between the front two seats. It looks pretty bad, is there any way to get chocolate out of carpet? It is really mushed into it pretty good....

Oh that's bad.
I wonder if you can do the same thing you'd do to get wax off carpet. Lay an old towel or washcloth over the spot, and then use an iron to heat the chocolate again, and hopefully most of it will transfer to the towel.
We rented a car on vacation and my SD's chocolate melted to the floor. What cleaned it right up was BABY WIPES. It took quite a few, but it did the trick and we were not charged for damages. And the car smelled lovely.
Use a spatula to scrape up as much as possible. Then you'll need to use a carpet cleaner machine, or take the car in to be detailed.
