Thank you. Someone posted this same question about a month ago. I've already read all the responds from the previous question. I will try a brown paper bag with an iron. Wish me luck!

Carefully! TAKE BROWN SACK PAPER AND A WARM BUT NOT HOT IRON. PRESS CAREFULLY and use new brown paper until wax is gone. Then try a carpet cleaner if there is color left such as Amway LOC or Stanley Steamer carpet cleaner.

use a brown paper bag and a warm iron. The iron melts the wax and it soaks into the paper. Just keep moving the iron and the paper around to absorb it all.

Get an old rag and lay it over the wax. Turn your iron on, with no steam. Put the iron on the rag, being carefeul not to get it on the carpet because it could melt fibers. The heat from the iron will make the wax stick to the rag. There may still be some oily residue, Dawn dishwashing liquid does a good job taking that out. Had to do this myself once. DH thought he'd be sweet and had candles all over the bedroom. Well, some dripped all over the place - carpet, furniture, etc. It wasd romantic at the time, then had to clean it all up!

I would use paper towels and an iron. If you see that any of the color is left behind you could set the color with the heat of the iron or blowdryer and permanantly stain the carpet. If color is left behind I would quit and call a carpet cleaner in. They can usually use a solvent to take it out.

Hi. An rub an ice cube on the wax to make it very brittle. Then you can chip it up in small peices and vacuum. Hope it's not colored and staining! good luck, S.

I used to have a ferret that pulled candles over all the time! Lay a piece of wax paper on top of it and then iron over it. The wax paper works better than a towel.
Good luck!

Use paper towel and your iron set to low. Iron the spot into the papertowel, changing the towel as often as necessary.

The brown bag and the iron will work. You can also use a dry paper towel. You may have to repeat the process a few times. I've gotten candle wax out of carpet at a church after a wedding using this method.

My one year old pulled a candle full of melted RED wax off of my mother's table right into the floor on her tan carpet. Get a hair dryer and a roll of paper towels. Heat the wax up with the hair dryer. I would do one spot at a time. As soon as you can see that the wax is melted press down on it with a paper towel. It takes a while but it works great. You can't see anything on her carpet where it was at.

scrape as much as you can off with a knife, and then get some candle wax remover. Works great on crayon too!

put down a brown paper grocery sack over the area and the iron on low over the area and it should come up. You probably will have to move the paper around as it absorbs the candle wax. This works with party lite candles never used it for other brands.

Use Paper Towels and your clothes Iron.
Gently, chip big pieces out with a butter knife.
Then "iron" the paper towel onto the carpet using the lowest setting you can that will melt the wax. The paper towel will absorb the melted wax so move a new piece of towel onto the spot as necessary.
Good Luck!

Get a piece of wax paper and lay it on top of the wax on the carpet and run a warm iron over it. The candle wax should melt to the wax paper.

Get a wet wash cloth. Lay it over the wax. Iron it. Wax clings to the moisture. Really works, I've done it twice.

Good luck,

Hi S.,
Take a towel (or dishrag) and lay it over the top of the wax. Apply a warm iron to the top of the towel. The wax should be soaked up by the towel due to the heat. Hope it works. Best of luck!

I have used a warm iron on top of bounty paper towels, the extra obsorbant ones or a blow dryer and the paper towels. As you heat the wax it will start to lift and the paper towel will absorb it. Good luck

One way we have tried in the past is put ice on the wax (ice should be in some type of bag so the carpet doesn't get all wet). The wax should get hard and then easier to pull up and off.

Take an old hand towel and turn your iron on a low setting. Put the towel over the wax and run your iron over and it will heat up the wax enough to make it stick to your towel. You may have to do this a couple of times but it works. I make candles and have done this myself

Try this, using a brown paper bag and a warm iron. First cut the bag so there is not writing that could transfer from the bag to the carpet. Place the bag over the wax... then run the iron over the bag. Try a small area first. The heat should pull the wax onto the bag. You may need to repeat several times. Do not let the iron sit on the spot. Go over it as if it were delicate fabric.
