Medical Bracelets

I just bought two medical bracelets for my kids from Riley. They have a plate that you can engrave their allergies on. My two older kids are allergic to chocolate, so I couldn't buy just a standard one (some already have peanut allergies on them). What they couldn't tell me is WHERE to take the blasted things to get them engraved. When I checked with one jeweler, we were told that they could n't do it because it needed to be done with a rotary tool and not a laser engrave. Any ideas as to where I can take them?

What can I do next?

Have you tried calling Riley (guessing you got them at the gift shop) to see what they recommend? Or, have you tried calling the manufacturer of the bracelets to see what recommendations they have?

My guess is that they may have a list of standard engravers or may have services to which you can send the bracelets for the proper engraving.

I'd also check at one of the malls locally - not sure if they still have the Things Remembered kiosk at Castleton to see if they can do it since engraving is a major part of their business (or any Trophy/Engraving store for that matter)

Try Things Remembered. They are in most malls. They might be able to do it. Or maybe even some place that sells those decorations that you have names put on. But Things Remembered would be my first try.

Good Luck.

Things Remembered? They used to be in all the malls. Not sure if they still are.

Things remembered can do it. Not sure where else...maybe a jeweler?

I had one done for my dad at a local pharmacy. He has a rare blood enzyme deficiency which can create temporary paralysis if given certain meds. Check there! Makes sense that they would do them since they dispense meds.
