There are some great ones in that area. My friends loved the program at the Methodist church on Lake Highlands (can't remember if it is Lake Highlands Methodist Church, or if it has another name).

Closer to the Lakewood area, the corner of Lakeland and Oldgate has three really good ones. There is a church preschool/MDO (can't remember the name of the church), there is The Children's Center, and there is The Learning Tree. People absolutely love the last two preschools, and a friend of mine used the church program (sorry I can't remember the name of the church) and was very happy with it.

Our church has a really good MDO program on MWF. It has been rated as #1 in the area in the White Rocker in the past. The number is ###-###-#### and the name is Lake Highlands Baptist Church. I also have friends that have taken their children to the preschool that is located at Walnut Hill and White Rock Trail. For the life of me I can't remember the name of this place right now.

My kids have gone to the Skillman Child Development Center (M Street area) and we love it. Also, I have heard great things about the programs at Ridgewood Methodist, Learning Tree, and Children's Center. They have probably already had their registration for next year, so call them ASAP to get on a waiting list. Good luck!

I send my oldest son to the Learning Tree and absolutely love it! My youngest son will start there next year in the fall, too (classes begin at 2 yrs). Currently, my youngest son attends MDO at Lakeside Baptist Church on Garland Road. It's a pretty good program.
