I'll try to run this down quick. I am never super regular with my period and am not good at tracking it because the timing varies month to month. I almost always get it right after my girlfriend at work ends hers. I know that is funny, but thats how I know mine is on the way. So I got it like 2 weeks ago and knew I was early, my friend had not even started yet. I normally have it for 5 1/2 days and it gets very heavy for 2 of those days. This time it was super light< I mean hardly anything at all. Just enough to know it was there, I was using slender tampons and not filling them at all. ( I normally use a Ultra Super on my heavy days). I had no cramping at all either. On a side note the week before I was feeling very lightheaded and fatigued. Now on Wed. I started to spot again. I thought I was going to get my real full blown period because of cramping ect. But since Wed. am I still only have the occasional spotting and mild cramps. What the heck is going on? I have had some mood issues, but passed it of to pms. There have been changes in my diet.As of Jan. 1st I have stopped eating all processed foods (Except a canolli on Valentines Day :) Have not dropped a lot of weight, but haven't been exercising either. I apologize for the novel but was just looking for some feedback. My husband and I have not been using protection since the fall so I guess it is possible. Does anyone think that what I thought was my period a couple weeks ago could be implantation bleeding? An other thing is that I did have spotting issues when I was pregnant with my now 7 year old son, but it was like 3 1/2 months in to it. Why am I being so silly, I should just go buy a test. But now that I have been thinking about it I am excited and afraid to be let down.

What can I do next?

So What Happened?

Although your description of spotting and mild cramps does indeed sound like my experience right before I found out I was pregnant, its best just to take a test and find out the truth. Be aware that pregnancy tests will only give a positive result if its been at least 10 days since conception, though, so if it hasn't been that long you could get a negative result but still be pregnant. So, my best advice is to wait until its been 10 days past when you think you may have ovulated and take a test.

The only way to know is to buy a test. Even then, if you want to really be 100% certain get a blood test from your OB to rule out a false positive. Guessing based on what foods you've eliminated and weight you've gained or lost or not lost or protection you've used or not used or how regular your period is doesn't help figure anything out. You need a pregnancy test. Get a kit that has 2 in it like EPT.
