Try Ebay. You would be amazed what you can find on there. Like Mary Kay consultants that are going out of business and just wanting to get rid of their stock, so they are selling it on the cheap.
I have started using about 5 -6 thing from Mary kay.
I know they are not the cheapest items out there...so I was wondering if anyone knows if Amazon is the better way to go for buying MARY kAY PRODUCTS?
It looks like the shipping costs may add up but perhaps the total is lower then ording from a Mary kay Consult.
Please let me know what you have found to be the lowest cost to purchase items fOR mary kay.
Out of work now and need to save every penny!
Thanks Moms

What I did was sign up to "sell" it. You get the product 50% off and you don't have to really sell! Every quarter (of the year) you have to place a $200 order (wholesale) to keep your discount but if you don't then the next order you place just has to be $200 to get your discount back.
The way I do it is I just buy it for myself and my family at cost. Every few months I put in one big order and we all get it half off! Plus, it only costs $100 to join and you get a LOT of stuff!
Good luck!
ebay :) Or, if I remember right, there were several levels of being a consultant. One was a "hobby" level where you mostly bought for yourself and maybe your close family and friends. The disount wasn't as great but I have several friends who sold Mary Kay as a hobby. Basically they had ONE party at their house a year for their friends (usually around Christmas) and they sold to their close friends and family. They really didn't do anything else, no bugging strangers for parties, etc. And they made just enough to pay for all of their own makeup plus a little bit extra. It's worth looking into if you really love their product. Plus you say you're out of work. Might be a way to earn just a little extra! I've never sold it, but I was tempted for a while.
I have had several friends who decided to sell Mary Kay just so they could get the discounted price. If you know a couple of other friends that use it you could all work together to order at least the minimum then perhaps even sell some to other friends. It could be a source of a small income or it could just be a way to get the product cheaper. My sister did this for a while, she is pretty introverted and not cut out to be a salesperson at all, and she just ordered the bare minimum each month and that is what everyone got for birthdays and Christmas.
EBAY! I love Mary Kay and have used it for almost 20 yrs. I used to make my stuff last as long as possible to keep costs down. I got really desperate and looked on Ebay. I usually get two for the price of one!! It is awesome! And now I stock up when I get my income tax refund.
Good luck and GOD BLESS

Ebay...Yep Guilty as charged!! Yikes....I love my Mary Kay rep but not the price tag on some of the things I need...I have had success with Ebay...sometimes saving 50%...Please don't tell her :)
Mary Kay is only sold through Mary Kay consultants per their agreement/contract they sign.
You shouldn't be able to find it on Amazon or Ebay. If you do, make sure the expiration date hasn't passed on any of the products.
One thing you could do is if you have friends or family that use (or are willing to use) MK, you could become a consultant and place orders for everyone. The only thing is you'd need to place orders each quarter to maintain your discount and stay a consultant.
You might also consider offering to help your consultant out - sometimes the good/busy ones need an office assistant. If you help her out a couple/few hours a week, maybe she would offer your products at a discounted price.
Host a Mary Kay party and place a big order- you will get the "hostess discount".
I do not believe that you can purchase MK products online without going through a consultant. My guess is that someone got out of the business and is trying to dump their inventory. My neighbor sells MK and her basement is FULL of products. If she decides to stop, I'm sure she'll sell it off at her cost to get rid of it.
Just a thought... MK isn't the cheapest out there, you're right. If you are trying to save every penny- go with something from CVS, wait for a sale and save money that way. MK is the most expensive, but it's not cheap either.
