Does anyone have a good recipe for margaritas? I have a friend coming over tomorrow night, and thought I might make some. But I absolutely HATE any margarita that is made with those mixers that are sold at the stores. They are nasty to me!! Anyway thanks if you have one.

Use frozen fruit, tequila, triple sec, fresh lime juice, and some other citrus juice to blend it-be careful -I drank tequila once and didn't recognize my first cousin!

you can have interesting ones and just use pineapple juice and tequila. I usually used just the strawberry mix (not the one with the tequila already in it, just the generic syrup) ice and tequila.

My sister likes it on the rocks, and I think those are a little harder to make. I like the slushy ones because...well isn't everything better in slushy form?

an easy one is lime beer margaritas.

Ingredients
1 (12 fluid ounce) can frozen limeade concentrate
12 fluid ounces tequila
12 fluid ounces water
12 fluid ounces lime beer
ice
1 lime, cut into wedges

Directions
1. Pour limeade, tequila, water, and beer into a large pitcher. Stir until well-blended, and limeade has melted. Add plenty of ice, and garnish with lime wedges. Adjust with additional water, if needed.

Two parts tequila and one part orange liquor. Three parts mix but the key is making it in a shaker with ice and an eighth of lime. Oh and shake the heck out of it. :)

Oh this is over ice.

I am terrible at mixing drinks--I either buy them (at the restaurant) or have hubby mix one up for me. I think the key to a good margarita is good tequila! We were given a bottle of Corralejo for a housewarming gift and YUM! I could practically sit there and sip it like a lemonade!

Mine is exactly like Robyn's except I use any kind of beer I have on hand - usually a cheap lite beer. This recipe is my favorite. Easy, quick, limey, NOT neon-green. And I dislike the taste of beer. But I love this recipe. Can't tell there's a speck of beer in it.

I use Robyn's recipe too. Just be aware that it's not a true margarita. It's sweeter than most margaritas.

I also do the same recipe as Robyn R except I use two Coronas and 12 oz Fresca instead of water. So yummy!

Beer Mararitas - 2 cans of beer, one can of frozen limeade (small) and one can (limeade can) of tequila (you can double or triple accordingly) - i know it doesnt SOUND like they would be good but they are awesome!

We like to use the following:

1 can of frozen limeade
Using the empty frozen limeade can:
1 can of tequila
1/2 can triple sec or blue curacao
3 cans of water (can do 2-4 depending on taste)
Very easy, good frozen or on the rocks. Enjoy!

Have you tried the Bacardi's frozen you mix with rum instead of taquila? I don't like any of the other kinds either, but love that one. It's a lot more limey tasting and I like the rum better than taquila.

One can frozen limeade concentrate. One can (use the empty can from the limeade) tequila, 1/2 can triple sec. Put it all in the blender. Fill blender with ice to top. Add water if doesn't fill the blender completely. Blend. These are FANTASTIC (Emeril Lagasse recipe) - but they are STRONG. Even though they are 'frozen' margaritas, I serve them over ice.

I thought I'd add this recipe if you like it try it, if not, that is okay too.
It is called a Chihuahua...pink grapfruit juice and tequila. Basically poor your juice and adjust the tequila to taste. Salt the rim if you want...I just put salt in the drink (I like salt on my grapefruits when I eat them) or don't use any at all. It is really good if you like pink grapefruit juice.
I ran out of margarita mix and went online and found this recipe and had some juice and tried it and fell in love with it. Not sweet like some margaritas, but tangy and refreshing.
Good luck and God Bless.
