Hey moms! I'm full of questions lately but you're such a great resource that you're the first person/group I think to ask.
I am looking for some sort of manners or etiquette course in the San Antonio area (not Cotillion) that will give my kids the basics on what is expected of them. I have tried and taught and explained and shown by example but they just don't want to hear it from me anymore. I'm at wit's end over their table manners and, short of completely depriving them of food, I've run out of ideas. You know how kids these days are... they take instruction better from others sometimes than they do from their own mom. Don't get me wrong, I have wonderful boys. I would just like them to have better table manners.
I had the name of someone that came to their school but all attemps to find them again have failed. Do you know of any classes out there that aren't too stuffy but will truly get the point across? First impressions are so important and they don't need this working against them.
Also check the SaKids magazine online. Listed one of the classifieds/advertisement pages there is a mom that teaches etiquette/table manners.
I just interviewed someone about this. The name of the organisation Ledare. Now she does do cotillion stuff too, but she told me she does basic etiquette classes too.
