D.M.
I don't know if he's taking patients but we've seen Dr. Brown at PAMF in Los Altos/Mountain View office & he's lovely. Very thorough & kind.
Can anyone recommend a good Male Peditrician? I am looking for someone in Los Altos, Mountain View or Palo Alto.

It depends on where you go. If Kaiser, I can't say enough good things about Dr. George Johnson, he's the asst. Chief of Pedi and I've been going to him since my son was 2 y/o (he's 15 now). I take my baby boy to Dr. Juan Garona @ Camino Medical in Mountain View. He's all I know at that location but he's good and thorough.
D.,
Our son goes to Dr. David Safir in San Jose and is part of Good Sam hospital..
Not sure where you live, but I have had him since our son was born.
I switched dr's for about 1 month because I felt Dr. Safir rushed through appointments, but after leaving I returned, because I felt Dr. Safir was better at the diganosis.
My son was having a bad rash on his butt and it wasn't going away I was going to the New dr and she gave me some medicine and said try this and it never worked, I finally was so at my witts end that I said I am going back to Dr. Safir and he right away said "Jack had a Yeast infection on his butt" gave me a medicine for that and also something else to help the RAWNESS On his butt, Within 2 days it was gone.
So I have to say I really like Dr. safir because he is right on the diganosis and he is good with the kids... I also like the front desk girl "Christine" she's very friendly and helpful when your a first time mom and worried about everything, she helps reassure me.
Oh Dr. Safir's number is ###-###-####
Good luck on finding the dr. right for you.
if you are willing to go to Menlo Park, there is a male pediatrician as part of the Menlo Clinic practice on Crane Street. My son goes to a female pediatrician at the same practice but have seen the male pediatrician twice on sick visits and like him very much. Cannot recall his last name right now but if you search Menlo Clinic pediatricians you will find him. He is the only male in the practice. Good Luck!
I recommend DR. Kaye of Camino Medical Group. I'm not sure if he's in Sunnyvale or Mountain View- some have changed offices. Let me know if you want a phone number.
We see Dr. Michael Taymor ###-###-####. He's on Cal Ave on the far side from the train station and is excellent with our 2 boys.
Kellen Glinder, MD at Palo Alto Clinic in PA is good. There are other male pediatricians there that I don't know as well:)
Dr. Trager at Ramblc is great. I highly recommend him. Everyone is wonderful there so if he is full and not taking patients the other docs are great as well. All email parents back less then 24 hours etc. By Good Sam. http://www.ramblc.com/frontpage.html
Hi D.,
I have had the same pediatrician for over 16 years and 4 kids later...
He's wonderful. His name is Kenneth Vereschagin. He also specializes in sports medicine. So I think a nice addition for "Boys".
He is in Santa Clara on El camino near Kiely Blvd. (so not so far from S'Vale/Mtn View.
His number is ###-###-####
Let him know B. O'Connor referred you please.
Best wishes,
B.
I would definitely recommend my pedi; Dr. Timmy Lee of Camino Medical Group. The office is in Mtn View; off of El Camino Real, in a new building. Dr. Lee always has a great demeanor and if he is faced with something he isn't sure about, he is great about research and getting back to you. (we've had rashes and such). He also doesn't recommend things just b/c a 'rep' has given them freebies at the office. He knows his stuff. Good luck! (I also knew to go to him since I work in NICU, and am around pedi's in the nursery)
