Looking for an Excellent Female Pediatrician

Hi all,

I'm looking to switch health plans and would like some insight on pediatricians. My daughters are 5 and 23 months old, and I would prefer to bring them to a female doctor. Do any of you have suggestions? Also, any insight on individual health plans and HSA accounts would be helpful as well.

What can I do next?

I'm not sure where in the Bay area you are, but Dr. Sima Stein is our pediatrician, and I love her. Her number is ###-###-####.

Hi Kristin (Im K. L, how funny!),

I've lived in the bay area my entire life, and have found a wonderful office of pediatricians in Menlo Park - in fact, MY pediatrician as a child is just now retiring this month from that same office. He is also my daughters pediatrician, but there or 4 or 5 in one office, and ALL of them are wonderful (I have either seen them over the years, or my daughter has seen them at one point or another). They have never been anything but the BEST, and the office building they reside in has any and all specialty doctors you or your children could ever need.
The office itself is under Menlo Medical, but they accept many other forms of insurance (we have united healthcare EPO, and they happily accept us).
These are the names of the pediatricians in that office: Dr Hallee (female), Dr Kapoor (young and female, she is LOVELY), Dr Fowler (female), Dr Won (female) Dr Clark (female). They are all amazing doctors, and its nice to have such a wide variety of female doctors for our girls to pick out. You can reach them at ###-###-#### and they can talk to you about insurance and making an appointment!

Hi K.,

I think it depends on your location in the bay area, but I live in Los Gatos and LOVE LOVE my pediatrician. She's caring the nurses are great and all very accomodating. I did a lot of research on the medical groups in the area and pediatricians to get input from other physicians and nurses too.
Dr. Michele Loftus at Ramblic Pediatric next to Good Sam Hospital. ###-###-####

My children and myself have a male doctor. I highly recommend him. His name is Dr. Scot Kehl at the Palo Alto Medical Foundation Fremont. All of the DRs at PAMF are wonderful. 9 times out of 10 I get my doctor, for every 1 time I get another doctor I have no problems and they forward every thing to my Dr. so he knows what has happened. He is a Family practitioner. So our whole family goes to him and it is nice to have someone know not only you but able to know who the rest of the family is.

I have a 7 year old daughter and a 4 1/2 month old son. Our pediatrician is Dr. Margaret DeVilliers at Care First Pediatrics in Los Gatos. We've been using her since my daughter was born. She's very soft spoken and knowledgable and also open to listening to your ideas and concerns. Their number is ###-###-####.

Good Luck,
R.

P.S. I'm hoping to be a stay at home mom too...currently I am on leave but work in the legal field as well as I'm a professional photographer.
