Have you guys seen the previews for this? I will admit that I am not a big chick flick fan, but I may make the exception for this one. Looks like good fun, and hey if the plot an acting sucks, we are least have some eye candy to look at. The biggest thing for me is that I love to watch a guy (or really anyone) who can dance. I've been to a male strip club twice and it was really disappointing because all they did was jiggle around, and didn't actually dance, and I was bored outta my mind.
So what do you think? Dumb chick flick or good fun?
I will totally admit to watching all the Step Up movies. The acting and plots are usually laughable, but like I said I LOVE the dance scenes. :)

Channing Tatum, Alex Pettyfer, Matthew McConaughey & Joe Manganiello. I don't really care what the movie is about as long as these guys are in it shirtless. ;)
I am totally seeing it, it looks hilarious and fun, and like you said, lots of eye candy.

All my coworkers, a group of about 10 of us, are going together tonight. All our men are going to meet up at Hooters to "watch the game." We've already had fun planning this ladies night out. It's great to have something fun and a little racy to look forward to.
Even if the movie isn't good, I have been crushing on Matthew for over a decade. Seeing him as being accessable, with all that raw sexuality, literally is a girls wet dream! The rest of the guys are just icing on the beef cake.

Good fun - and I've read reviews that say it's a legitimately good movie, with good cinematography, script, acting etc. One review called it "better than it needed to be." I think I'm seeing it tonight - it'll be fun!
I say it's just FUN. I'm going with a group of girlfriends tonight. Oh, and another thing - I told my boyfriend I was going to a "stripper movie" with my friends, he asked who was in it, and I said Channing Tatum, he's like "who is that?" LOL
Already have tickets to see it tonight :)
Hopefully it'll be playing when my MIL is in town and I'll talk her into going with me and ditching the guys for a few hours. :)
It's a dumb chick flick that will be good fun! I am like you, I don't like chick flicks but this one will get me to the theater. I want to get a group of girls together to go see it b/c I know my hubby will have no interest :)

I am like you, love all the Step up movies for the dancing (but stupid plots) , but I am easily entertained by movies. I watch these by myself when I get them free from the library, or when we had satellite dish. (there is new Step Up coming out BTW, did you know that? We saw a preview for it last week at the theater when we saw "Rock of Ages")
I am actually taking my almost 18 year old daughter to see Magic Mike next week after she drives me to the orthopedic dr on my half day off! I have a weird fascination with Channing Tatum. Just like him. Some of his stuff is cheesy as heck, but I have always liked him. I still need to see some of his things he was in like Public Enemies (with Johnny Depp).

I'm not one to do chick flicks or strippers, but yeah, I'm definitely up for seeing this movie. My husband just got back from a 10 day trip and we are suppose to have date night tonight, but since I spent the last 10 days with 3 kids, he also offered me the night alone. I love date night and we will do date night, but it did cross my mind to go to the movie alone, and I hate going to movies. I've seen interview with the guy from True Blood, Joe Mangellino (can't spell), and he is really funny which makes me want to see the movie even more. I do think after my husband's 10 days away, I could take him to Magic Mike, but I won't do that to him.
I would love to see this but only because I love Channing Tatum!! But, I wouldn't want my husband to watch a movie with a bunch of hot girls stripping, so I am not going to go and see it
Saw it lt night, thought it was okay. Eye candy and dancing were great. Storyline was okay also. Surprised at some scenes and what they showed but it's a great movie for a girls night out. Have fun

But then my opinion comes from someone who likes to watch action movies.
The more gun fu the better. Superheroes watch um all day.
