One good one I've found is Young & Restless off of 610 and Ella. They have clothes, books and toys and the people who run it are really nice and helpful.
Hope this helps,

Good morning! I am a long time reader and 1st time poster. I am wondering if any of you moms out there know of any good resale shops or thrift stores to purchase clothes for my 5 year old and my 8 year old. With $ being a little tight around my house, I could use all the help I can get. Any input would be so greatly appreciated!! ***OOPS*** I forgot to mention I am in the East Houston/Pasadena are, but I can get anywhere.
Thank you so much for all of your responses. I will totally be trying some of these this long weekend.

I go to Pennywise in Stafford--clothes are 1.50. Also there is Super Saving Thrift Store on Dashwood by Sharpstown Mall. It is a huge store and they have deals where certain color tags are on sale. Lots of clothes so you need time to dig if you go. They're open 10am-8pm everyday.
I don't what part of town you're in. I shop @ Second Childhood-on Fountainview between Westheimer and San Felip. There's also "Young and Restless off Loop 610 North. turn right on the right.

Hi my name is N. and I am a 28 year old mother of three great girls. I work at Burkes Outlet and great inexpensive store off 45n 2920/tomball exit near splashtown in the krogers parking lot on Fridays is 15% off for 49 under on monday is 15% off 50 over(age)total purchased They have nice things and some name brand items for the whole family (pets to) This store is in Spring, Texas but if you go online you could find a store near you (burkesoutlet.com)
I found a place located at Memorial / Tully Road - I believe it's called Second Chances. I LOVE LOVE LOVE this place!
I started shopping there when our daughter was 18 months and have continued shopping there. Because of the area of town it's located in you get a lot of designer clothes for nothing - some with the tags still on them.
You can also put your clothes in resale and any monies made can either be paid to you or put on account and used against any purchases.
You can also locate other children's resale shops via www.starsresale.com
You didn't mention what part of town you're in... I use Once Upon a Child at Willowbrook and I know of another similar place near Champions (I think, haven't been there yet). I just now Googled "children resale clothing houston, tx" and several came up. There are always lots of garage sales this time of year, too.
I know that this post is old - but wanted to pass along some info. I am starting a consignment/resale event here in Houston where you can consign your children's gently used items and make 65 - 80 percent of the sale. Also, you name the price for the items - not me. If you are interested, check out this website: www.ChildrensResaleHouston.com. You will need to put this in the http:// window at top of browser because my site is so new that it doesn't show up with a google search yet. The sale is July 29th - August1 at the Houston Farm and Ranch Club. I hope this helps.
