Looking for Waist Rise Jeans

I know this is an odd request. But my teenaged daughter is very modest and conservative. We are desperately looking for waist rise jeans and of course as the style is to show all your middle in winter we can't find them. Does anyone know where these can be purchased reasonably, not over $30/pair. Or if you have any lying around you no longer need, we could be interested in purchasing them. She is in need of a junior size 4 or 6 boot cut. No straight legged jeans. She love carpenter pants.

Thanks for your help,

J.

So What Happened?

Well, here is what happened.

I bought some on e-bay, obviously old stock as they are truely waist rise jeans, but were new with tag intact. We got a couple that were not too bad at Goodwill, and bought a couple at Wal-mart that were not waist rise, but not too bad either. What I consider waist rise is covering the belly button and what the sales people consider waist rise is like 2 inches below the belly button. So we are set for now, but I am concerned in a couple of years when these low rise have come into thrift stores and there is nothing else to choose from. I do hope someone still makes waist rise jeans or at least a a moderate rise we can be happy with.

Thank you to all of you. You are a great bunch of ladies!!!!!

OLD NAVY!! They have different cuts, and you can find them for less than $30/pair. I agree that even if you can't find the perfgect jeans, the longer shirts are great! Also, shop in the misses department, not the juniors...the misses jeans have a higher rise and fit so much better!

Good luck!

try lucky brand jeans. These were good for me right after I had my little boy, when needless to say I NEEDED waist rise jeans. This brand is pretty popular with the younger generation as well. Try them online, but make sure you look for the waist rise jeans.

What a sweet litle girl you have! Yes, most styles lately are low rise. However, mid rise is certainly coming back this fall! Anything over an 8 inch rise is considered a high rise these days. AJ jeans is a high rise jean however they go for about 150 a pair at Nordstrom. You may be able to find a used or cheaper pair on Ebay. I also recomemnd trouser style jeans. www.delias.com is a cute and very affordable online site for teenagers. Most of the jeans are lowrise but if you go to the pants section, they have more conservative style cuts. Lee jeans and Old Navy boycut jeans are very nice mid rise jeans. They sell for about $30-$50. Also, the current style is long shirts, so if she doesn't mind a mid rise, the long top will cover any bit of belly button that may peek out above the jean.
I also recommend going to Neiman's or Nordstroms where the personal shoppers are VERY helpful. Tell them you are looking for a mid to high rise jean. Have your daughter try on the different brands they suggest and then write down the brand name, the cut of the jean,AND the size that fits her best. Then get online and do a search to see if you can find either similar or the same ones but cheaper on ebay or another site.
By the way, here is an article you may find interesting!

Try Levi's...they have TONS of varieties of jeans. I think Kohls and possibly JC Penney carry them. If you are thinking of spending some money, Banana Republic has great, conservative style jeans with stretch, but they are about $60 a pair. Good luck!

The jeans Lee makes look kind of high to me, I'm pretty sure I've seen them at WalMart and Kohls. Worth a shot I guess?

GOOD FOR HER! It would be so nice to see much less skin & scamp on our young women these days...& even their moms. Check out this link http://www.move4modesty.com/home.htm for some good clothing options for her, in & outside of the realm of jeans. Modesty really becomes an issue around prom time, too.

You will definitely find waist rise jeans at resale shops for great prices! I only buy my jeans at resale shops (I'm very short) and find them already tailored to fit me! I would not go back to buying retail! Try Goodwill, Thrift Town, Coat of Many Colors (off Harwood Rd. Bedford), etc... Do a lookup on Google for resale and thrift shops in your area. I'm so glad she is modest - that is so rare to find toay! Congratulations and my God Bless you and your family. Have a great week!

I wear the old GAP "reverse fit" jeans. I am a hold out for the waist high jeans as well. They are only found at Gap.com and they somtimes have capris too in the spring. The regular price is about $40, but they have some on sale usually for around $20. If you buy over $100, shipping is free. If it doesn't fit, just return it to any Gap store, no return shipping costs, no questions asked!! I have loved these jeans for years!! Good Luck!

I was going to say Kolhs as well. Go into the women's petite section (not the kids area). I wear Lee and Levis, they aren't as low and have a nice cut.
