I am looking to start swimming lessons for my 3 & 5 yr old in the frisco area. I don't know if it is too late in the summer or not.
I enrolled my two children, 3 yrs. and 20 months in the swim classes at the Plano Y this summer. I know that they are just about to start their fall sessions. I believe they begin in September. You can check it out at www.planoymca.org! Good luck!

My dd takes lessons at AquaKids in Flower Mound which is great but a little far for you. I would check out Emler in Plano, it may be a little distance but every kid I know who has taken at Emler or AquaKids actually learns to swim, not just "be comfortable in the water". We obviously still watch her but after 2 sessions as a 3 year old, it was so nice to be able to play in the water with her rather than have to carry her or a float thing around.
Both places have indoor pools so they do lessons year 'round.

There is a place in Flower Mound called Aquakids that offers year round lessons indoors. We just started there this week, and my son loved it. Other parents that I talked to had been there for years.
I live in McKinney and one of the High Schools offers private classes with very good prices under the swimming team coach's supervision. They have classes all the way to November.
