Looking for Preschool in Arvada Area

My son is in home preschool but I would like to change his school. I was wondering how everyone felt about the daycare centers such as Kindercare and Childrens World. He hasn't been around alot of kids but would like to see how he does in this type of setting before we enroll him in kindergarten. His fifth birthday is in July and so I'm debating on whether to enroll him in kindergarten or hold him back another year.

What can I do next?

Our children had never been in daycare before we moved here (in September). We looked all over for somewhere that would be suitable. Kindercare and Children's World are both excellent. We met with the directors of both centers and ultimately chose Children's World because it is much closer to our home. Kindercare offers an integrated Spanish program (if that is important to you), but you can also pay for classes at Children's World. Kindercare is known nationally for their excellent curriculum. Difficult decision to make, but I think that you are right to let him get used to being in a structured, multi child classroom before kindergarten. He will really be prepared for school that way.

We had used kindercare before for our then 2 year old son but felt he was just being 'warehoused'. Eventually we decided on Montesorri schools for him in which he really blossomed. He'll be five in May and feel he's really mature, interacts with other kids very well and is ready to go. The only negative is the structure in Kgarden will be different than montesori as well as he'll be with different classmates. The corporate daycare might be really beneficial if there are some of the same kids that would be attending the same kindgergarden.
Good luck.

My two sons are in the Church Ranch Kindercare, and I love it. There's a lot of very good peer pressure to sit and eat nicely, wash hands, be in charge of putting on and taking off his coat, etc. He's also exposed to books, songs, and games that I wouldn't necessarily play with him at home.

Good luck!

I'm not sure where in Arvada you are, but Jeffco schools have preschools. My son attended the one at Betty Adams a few years ago and they were great. If you contact Betty Adams, they can tell you about other schools in the program that might be closer to you if they are too far. My son has an August bday and I'm SO glad I didn't hold him back!
