My husband and I are going to be moving to South Barrington within the year. We are looking for an excellent Pediatrician and preschool in this area. My daughter just turned 2 on January 11th so she will be ready to start preschool next year. She has been in a daycare setting 3 days a week and is very sociable and active. We love our Pediatrician now, Dr. Marc Nudelman with The Medical Care Group in Elk Grove and hate to leave him, but I will want someone closer to us. We will be living close to Barbar Rose Elementary School in South Barrington. We are also looking for recreational things in this area. My daughter loves gymnastics, dress up, dancing and singing.

The Medical Care Group has Doctors in Schaumburg also, near Golf & Higgins, if that is not too far from you. My boys see Dr Johnson. We used to go to the Elk Grove office too, before they moved. The doc that we use is located in Barrington off of Hough Street and I can not say enough about the practice or our experiences with them. It is Pediatric Specialists ###-###-#### and we use Dr. O'Malley but have seen one or two of the other docs as well. I'm a first time mom and we have a preemie so we have had some challenges- hospital stays etc...and I always got my questions answered promptly any time of day or night and never felt like an idiot for asking and to me, that makes a difference. Also, they have rights at Good Shepherd Hospital AND Childrens' Hospital. Good luck and welcome.
My daughter goes to the Child Learning Center Preschool at Harper College. She LOVES it and so do we. The teachers are great, the classroom is wonderful, and the other parents are involved too (there is a parent organization).

I also live in South Barrington (south barrington lakes) and I have a little girl that will be 2 in March. The pediatrician I use is a practice called Lakeshore pediatrics. They are over by Good Shepherd Hospital off of 22. I am in the process of looking into preschools as well, so if you would like to share or compare information, feel free to email me directly- ____@____.com for recreational, I take my daughter to swim classes at prairie stone rec center. They are affiliated with the Hoffman Estates park district. South Barrington club has them as well, the times at prairie stone just happened to work better and we're members there too.
I take her to little village play place once in a while, you can check out their website. It's pretty fun for their age.
I would like to find some more things to do recreationally as well, that age group seems to be left out a little. Again, feel free to email me if you 'd like to share ideas.
