I am looking for a pediatrician who is willing to be flexible in terms of immunization schedules. I am not against them, per say, but don't think I want them as early as they recommend. I am on the East side of town, but am willing to travel if someone has a good recommendation. Thanks!

What can I do next?

I am not sure of a doctor but I will ask around. I will tell you that it is easier when they are littler give them their shots. Once they get older they understand more and it is a lot hard to hold them while they are getting their shots. Plus they give you this look that will break your heart. And that is from my 8 year old. My 15 month doesn't really like shots but she is much better than my 8 year old.

As for recommendations for local pediatricians, I think it's pretty slim pickin's, but here are some places to start:

PEDIATRICIANS
-------------
* Dr. Jeff Drasinin (younger one, not the father Ronald) @ ESD Peds, http://www.esdpeds.com
* Dr. Gretel Russel @ Forest Hills Pediatrics, http://www.fhpeds.com/

FAMILY PRACTICE DRS
-------------------
* Dr. Fabrey, family doc @ http://www.holistichealthnow.com/
* Dr. Michael Todd @ Springdale Family Medicine, ###-###-####
* Dr. Amy Ruschulte @ ###-###-####

For parents who are shocked at the idea of delayed schedule vaxing or not vaxing at all, there are actually reliable sources of info out there (agreed that there are also unreliable sources, too!) that aren't so fear-based as the spiel you get from most doctors & the CDC & the extreme anti-vax people. Dr. Jay Gordon and Dr. William Sears are both well-respected, well-known, forward-thinking pediatricians who consider vaccinations important but think the recommended vax schedule could well be more flexible. Sears says, "During the first two years, most of these shots don't have to be given at the exact above ages. They can be given over a wide range of months."

A. R,
Congrats on the new baby!
As far as doctors go...I love our doctor's office, it's a group practice with two offices, one in Anderson (off of 5 mile) and another in Amelia (off of Ohio Pike). Anderson Hills Pediatrics, ###-###-####, has a lot of great things to offer including isolation rooms for those newborn visits (they even do all the paperwork in the room so you never bring the baby into the lobby) and a great callback system for questions for the nurses and appointment making. Dr. McGovern was our first there (when we lived here a few years ago) and Dr. Bever is our current dr. You will always see your primary dr for all well-baby/child visits and for most of your sick visits (they really make that a priority).

I don't know their policy about vaccine schedules (flexible or not) but that's b/c I've never asked.
My only advice about the vaccines issue would be to thoroughly research the topics from credible sources. I've vaccined all 3 of my children on the timetables suggested and they are terrific. I noticed that with my third (he's 16 months now) his 12-month set was broken up and two were pushed back to 15-months (MMR and Varicella i think-the chicken pox one). But I have read that not vaccinating is way more devastating than vaccinating.
Hope that helps! Good luck!
