Looking for Nice Outdoor Playgrounds/parks in the Newnan/Tyrone Area

We live in a neighborhood called SummerGrove in Newnan that has several nice park areas. You have to live in the neighborhood (or know someone) to swim in the pools, but anyone can come play at the parks. :-)

We live in Sharpsburg, and the best one locally is the All Children's Playground in Peachtree City. It's behind the library/courthouse building on Lake Peachtree off of Hwy 54. The playground equipment is better kept than elsewhere and it is handicapped accessible. It has that spongy, ouch-proof substance for a flooring. It is fenced in and there are benches for mom and dad to rest and picnic tables for lunch. Additionally, depending on season you can bring seeds or bread to feed the ducks and geese.

The water park up near downtown Newnan, sponsored by the utilities is also pretty good--but from Tyrone, PTC is closer.

When your daughter is a little older, she might like a short hike on the nature trails at Line Creek, like my sons do.

I live in Sharpsburg, and I like to take my daughter to a park in PTC. It's over there behind the library, justice complex, it's by the lake. There is a huge playarea and in the summer they offer some water stuff (squirters etc.) Then there are tables and stuff too. It's a great place. I hear they also have opened some new place in Fayetteville. My ex took our daughter there this past weekend and she enjoyed that. Sorry I don't know the name of either place.

I live in Sharpsburg the playgroung in ptc is nice but we also like to go to the park in Senioa. It has new play items. They have really been working on the play ground. More to come for the little play ground. Also it is nice to take a walk up main street to see the little shops.
