Looking for a Place to Take 1 Yr Old for First Hair Cut

I took my little boy to Snip Its off of 121 near Preston, it is in the shopping strip by Jack In the Box. Ms. Ebony is the lady who did it and had so much patience and did a great job. They have an animated movie with haircutting characters (scissors, a comb, etc.)at each station, toys to distract them, and bubbles. She pulled out all the tricks to get my little one to sit still and between me giving him a snack and her we got it done. I have heard of other places in the area and had other moms tell me they aren't very clean and only moderately friendly. I thought Snip Its was very clean and super friendly, to me and my child. They also give them a surprise at the end (sticker, small toy) that comes out of the front desk. You get it by putting in a piece of their hair and a magic card at the same time to make it pop out, it's really cute. Hope this helps and good luck, Angela

Miss Pam at Cool Cuts for kids in Frisco (inside Toys R Us) is wonderful. She does a great hair cut and is very gentle with children.

I took my very wiggly son to Sport clips b/c that's where my husband goes. My son sat on my husband's lap while I took pictures and handed out goldfish to keep my son still.

KIDS B KIDS in Plano off independece and parker. Love them. The kids get to sit in a car, or on an animal and they get to watch cartoons (pick a movie) they have costume characters sometimes come out, They have toys for the babies to play with and have a play area with a slide. On your babies first haircut they game me a certificate for her scrapbook! Great price that is the only place she has gotten a haircut. After your little girls haircut they braid their hair too! I go to Mary! Love them!

We took our son to Cool Cuts for Kids in McKinney just after his first birthday. They did an awesome job and it was fun for him, he sat in a fire truck and loved being in charge at the wheel just like his mommy and daddy! They are very experienced with young kids and cut fast and the haircut was super cute! Highly recommended and it is the only place we will take him! Good luck! =)

We took our son to The Palace Barber Shop(I think that's what it's called)on the McKinney Square. It's just past the square, on the south side of Louisiana.

An older man named Bryan Speck cut his hair. We were surprised and delighted when he said the first haircut was on them. He was very sweet. I liked the idea of an old barber shop for his first cut. They were very sweet to our son - even when he started wailing.

I would recommend Cool Cuts for Kids. THere is one in Allen on Central and McDermott, although they have locations everywhere. They offer all kinds of entertainment to distract the kids - from videos to games. All the stylists there are trained in working with kids -especially squirmy ones. :-) Ive taken my daughter there since she was 4 months old - they always took good care of her.
