Give them a gift card to Bed, Bath, and Beyond, Crate and Barrel, or Pottery Barn. That way, they can select something that will suit their tastes and whatever changes they are wanting to make.
Hi,
I have a some friends who are getting married, moving into a new home, and also are re-decorating and would like to give them something fresh, stylish, but not just the same ol' same o. Does anyone have suggestions on fabulous entertaining pieces or servingware to make the new home, new bride happy??? Thanks! J. S.
Thanks to all of my responses over the days. I have some great ideas and plan to use them in the coming weeks! It is nice to have different choices instead of the same idea always. I appreciated all of the suggestions!

Good Morning J.,
After setting up a new household, your friends would appreciate a gift certificate to a spa. I personally enjoy Soma Spa in Flossmoor. This will be a gift which probably no other would have thought of.

Try IKEA. We did that for close friends of ours a couple years ago. We made a giant gift basket with neat, funky/contemporary items - primarily kitchen & entertaining. We got everything there, including the basket AND a $50 gift card so they could shop some more...we only spent about $110 total. It turns out they had never been to IKEA before and fell in love with it. They ended up furnishing almost their entire house there! On any budget, you can get a lot there. We just totally redid our daughter's room, complete with bunk beds for $500.

You can check out our complete catalog online & view our March & April hostess specials at:

My husband and I got a personalized door knocker with our last name and year est. Never would have asked for that.

I've just discovered a new home party company called Uppercase Living. They sell those Wall Words - basically motivational phrases that you stick to your walls. They have thousands of phrases, and there's something for everyone. It's a great idea for a new home. I'm not sure what the Web site is, but I know it's out there. Good luck!
