I want to get my son into a headstart or preschool program in the fall. I know that I would need to sign up now but I'm new to the area and I really don't where to go. I want to make sure that where he ends up has a good reputation. He will be 4 in two weeks. Any info would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.
I have my 3 year old at Sports Care on Sycamore View in Bartlett. My 8 year old went there for preschool and I was very pleased and continue to be pleased. They keep them very active and my 3 year old is always coming home singing a new song and with tons of papers they work on. I would recommed it to anyone. They are a family run school and have been around for a while. Good Luck!
Hi, sorry I am so late on responding. I too am new to the area. My oldest daughter went to headstart in IN, but in asking the schools about it, there seems to be not "headstart" unless you live in Memphis. If you find something that is education based (non religious) please let me know. I have a four year old who will be starting school next year also.
I've worked at many childcare centers in the area and there are a few I wouldn't recommend. You are welcome to email me about those. The only one in those areas that I would recommend is Bartlett Childcare Center. They have a location in Bartlett and Cordova. Their website is:http://www.bartlettchildcare.com/.
Having worked in childcare for many years, there are three in the area that I would recommend. They are: Bartlett Childcare, Grace Presbyterian, and Sonshine Learning Center (in Central North Church). Hope that helps!

Little Bears in Bartlett has a great program. Am friend's daughter went there and I was very impressed with the program when I would go and pick her up or for any programs that they put on. I wanted my daughter to go there, but I cant afford it. Check that out. I work at Mullins Mothers Day Out and they have a great 4-5 year old program. It is from 900-230 M-F however the kids can go only 2 days a week. It is $17 a day. Also you can check out Christ United Methodist Day School and Emmanuel. I am looking at both of those for next year for my daughter. Good Luck!
I work at and my children attend Great Adventure Childcare in Cordova. I love it there. We are a 3-star center and have a great preschool program. My son is currently in PreK there now and he has grown up a great deal since he started. The woman that teaches that class has the patience of a saint! I would recommend that program to everyone I know.
I have a lot of friends who use Bartlett Methodist preschool now (even those who are not Methodist) I know others who used Bartlett Baptist a few years ago and liked them. We are using Evangelical Christian School for my 4 yr old . It is more expensive but he will get to stay is the same school from pk4 till he graduates if we want and we know from experince that it is a good school.

Hi!! I live in Bartlett, unfortunately, I do not know the reputations of the preschools in the area. My daughter will be going next year and we moved here two years ago. I will keep an ear out and let you know if I hear of a good one. There is a church on Yale and Kirby that I know has a preschool. YOu could call to check into that. Or also there is a church on Summer Close to the intersection of Ral-leigh lagrange that my husband and his siblings attended when they were young and his mom loved it then.
