Looking for GREAT Pediatrician near South OC

We see Dr. Barbara Petty. She is fabulous! She was chief of staff at Mission Hospital..then Chief of Satff at Choc and now president of Kids Doc. She is always able to see my daughter quickly and she has a great, friendly, "no need to get alarmed" attitude. We love her!

We see Dr. Jim Sears in Capo Beach. Love the whole office. Phone number is ###-###-####. They are really great about getting you in for sick visits same day and can usually answer any questions you have over the phone. Hope this helps, T.

We got to Seaview Peds ###-###-####. There are male and female docs. Our dr is a female (Dr. Yohannes). They are wonderful there!. Clean, quick and patient. It is located next to Saddleback Hosp and Laguna Hills Mall. We have neem going to her for 5 years and I wouldnt trade her for anything. Good Luck! :)

I love Seaview Pediatrics...our doctor is Jan Johnson, but I think she may only be accepting newborns...other doctors there are great as well. They have a few offices, but we mostly go to Aliso Viejo.

Go to Coastal Kids and Dr. Abelowitz. AMAZING! is all I can say. They have an office in Laguna Niguel and Newport Beach. The Newport Office is the nicest and then you can shop at Fashion Island :-)
I also tried Dr. Sears and I like him too but he does not accept insurance so everything is out of pocket. Be aware of that! Usually the only people that go to Dr. Sears are if they have an Autistic child or are completely against vaccinations. He is the ONLY Dr. in OC that will not do vaccines, but because of that the American Association of Pediatrics does not recognize him and therefor Insurance companies do not cover him.

I've also had a great experience with Sea View Pediatrics in Aliso Viejo. My son sees Dr. Jan Johnson which was a recommendation from my ob whose own kids go to her also. She's very personable and wonderful with my son. She's patient with the myriad number of questions I have for her each visit and never makes me feel rushed or hurried through an appointment. As someone mentioned, she's receptive to discussion of any topic you have and truly seems to care about the well being of your child. The rest of the staff at the AV office is friendly and helpful and the after hours access to nurses is a great bonus.

I am a mother of a 2 1/2 year old and I also have a 10 year old stepson. I would HIGHLY recommend Dr. Debra Miller in Laguna Beach. She is off PCH near South Coast Med. Center. Sometimes you have to wait to see her (once you are there), but she spends alot of time with you,calls home to check in, and has a fantastic staff. Also, there is one other Dr. that practices with her, and she is great as well.

We love Dr. Jyotin Patel is Laguna Niguel, been with him for 4 years. I drive from RSM to see him. The place is called Family Meidical Center off of Goldern Latern and Marina Hills. My girlfriend in Foothill Ranch reccomended him and has been a patient (2 girls) for over 5 years

He is very informative and takes time with you. I never have a problem getting it. Due to his culture he doesn't look you direcly in the eye so that takes a bit of time getting used to.

I am pretty picky about my pediatricians and also live in Laguna Niguel. We go to Coastal Kids which is off of Greenfield (by HomeExpo). We see Dr. Jugant (though she will be on maternity leave soon) and Dr. Dyer. I have not spoken to any mom in 3+ years who LOVES their South OC pediatrician. Even the Dr. Sears folks. I have been happy with Coastal Kids and plan to stay there. There is one dr. I didn't care for much--Dr. Apostal, but everyone is different so I am sure he has his followers as well.

Dr. Dwinell is awesome. She works with Southern Orange County Pediatrics. She is located in San Clemente, Ca but she may have another office in a different location. She has a couple of kids herself and all of the nurses in her office are so kind and always look happy to be there. When I've gone for scheduled appointments I've never waited more than 10 minutes... there were a couple of times that we walked straight into the back. My husband and I couldn't be happier. Oh, they are also very helpful if you call in with a question.

My daughter's pediatrician is Dr. Dennis Phillips. ###-###-####. He is in Laguna Hills. He is the doctor that started Kids Doc (urgent care)near Choc Hospital at Mission. When my daughter is recovery from an illness, he personally calls me at home to make sure she is doing ok. I think he is great. Good luck!

I have the most fantastic CHRISTIAN Peditrician EVER!! I don't know if you mind going to Irvine, but he is off East Yale Loop and We have been seeing him since my oldest daughter was born in 1998 and I will follow him anywhere that he goes!!

I, too, have had a good experience at Sea View Pediatric. They have Aliso Viejo and San Clemente offices. We see Dr. Jan Johnson, based on the recommendation of my ob/gyn. I interviewed her before having my newborn become a patient to ensure she'd support my stance on selective vaccinations. Also, since it's a group practice, you have the advantage of the entire professional staff if there is an emergency and your doc isn't promptly available.
