Looking for Great Daycare in St. A. Park/Highland/Mac Groveland

I realize somebody else just asked about the same area, but I need the same information! We really like some of the Montessories in the area, but like another poster said, most are totally full. We live in St. A. Park and will probably need to find a place within a month because of a job change (our 3 year old goes to an inhome daycare in Brooklyn Park right now but doesn't seem to be intellectually stimulated and cries about going to daycare often. Plus, they watch many hours of cartoons per day!)

What can I do next?

We also live in St. A. Park and went through a similar dilema with our now 7 year old. We found that the Minniapple was a good choice for us (Montessori with additional care available) and, depending where you work, both the Roseville and the Dinkytown locations had some openings. Just so you know, I can't speak highly enough about the Montessori programs, our daughter was reading and doing division upon entering Kindergarden in an open, pressure free environment but one that supported the children in learning. We are looking forward to when our son is 3 so that he can start. Good luck!

I am currently looking for new day care as well. I would suggest contacting in home day cares that do preschool curriculum. The child care resource and refferal network should be able to provide a specialized listing for you. (: Working mom in shoreview

Hi--

I spoke with a co-worker that has a 5 year old son who is very challenging and actually got "kicked out" of his last day care. They found this daycare called 'Children's County Day School' and her son is so happy and as she said it, "he loved it and he is not a happy-to-please customer." She said the caretakers are very nurturing and have been with the organization a very long time. I looked up the address and here it is: Children's Country Day School 1588 Victoria Rd
Mendota Heights, MN 55118 - 3658
###-###-####. I would trust this co-worker's opinion since she does extremely well research about everything in her life. Good luck!
