Looking for Good Product for Wrinkles Along Lips

Hi ladies. As I move toward my late 30s I am noticing I am getting some wrinkles around my lips. I was thinking it would be nice to get a filler if I had money but then a friend got a filler around her lips and it looks weird. I can tell it is not natural and she moves her lips differently, etc. So, I am wondering if any of you had a good product that is not super expensive that might help. I have tried retinol but it dries out that area really bad and just ends up looking worse without much benefit. Any advice appreciated. Oh, and I use sunscreen on my lips to try to keep things from getting worse, I drink a lot of water, eat healthy, exercise, use dermatologist recommended products and wash my face and moisturize every night before bed.

What can I do next?

Lips are the most sensitive skin are on one's face. I use a product called "Ultra-Creamy Shea Butter Lip-Ease," and it's really helpful for dry skin as well as wrinkles. Its three principal ingredients are Aloe juice, water (of course), and shea butter.

The company is called Hoity Toity. I don't sell it! But I've been pleased with it.

Oh I am really going to watch for good answers on this! I have lines surrounding my lips that are like what smokers get. I have never been a smoker but I whistle, a lot. I can't seem to stop myself.

I use Loreal "Age Perfect" all over my face, neck, and chest area, and have been very pleased with the results. Remember to drink plenty of water and eat fruits and vegetables. It's good for your complexion.

Good skin care begins well before 30 to prevent issues such as this.

I use Clinique and have faithfully since I was about 11. I currently use the Repairwear Series and LOVE it. Along with being very faithful with my routine, I also drink a lot of water, use sunscreen and thankfully, I was blessed with good genes.

The reps at the Clinique counter will give you samples to try. It is dermatologist recommended and money back guarantee if you are not happy with the product.

Good luck.

Ronan & Fields makes a product for lips. I tried a sample but not a long time with it. I don't have those wrinkles yet, I'm a little younger. It is pricey but I just thought I'd mention it. You're suppoed to use a little capsule every night before bed. My friend sells it if you're interested let me know. I think it runs about $60-$80.

Do you smoke or drink alcohol regularly? These are proven wrinkle makers. Most people who do either or both will eventually get mouth wrinkles and weathered skin in general.

While a few have a genetic predisposition for this (look at grandma, aunts, mom, and sis for a preview) there are supplements you can take that are scientifically proven to slow down the aging process... particularly with the skin.

Read up on something called Co-Q10 and it's close cousin Ubiquinol. Most vitamin shops sell this supplement. There are many articles on it's benefits.

Check both the Dr. Oz website and Dr. Mercola www.mercola.com

PS: Just because certain cosmetics are dermatologist approved doesn't mean they're good for us. The truth is most anti-aging products and lotions are terrible for our skin and can actually speed the aging process because they jave a lot of dangerous chemicals that actually break down the skin layers and can actually permanently damage it. Both sites I recommend also have alot of information on this as well, and I believe the Mercola site has alot on this. They also pedal so-called safe cosemetics in the store.
