Hi moms,
I'm looking for some gift ideas for my daughter's godparents. Every website I've checked has the same old picture frames, mugs or religious items. Has anyone done anything unique for godparent gifts?

I found this for one of my boy's Godmother's... i thought it was unique and had a saying to inspire.
For one of the God Father's we got a real nice watch and had it engraved on the clasp.
Also, my sister makes jewlery and can probabaly help you with a unique idea (currently she is using beads for a woman's wedding dress to make a bracelt for her soon to be daughter in law to wear on her wedding day) If you would be interested in creating a special gift email me back (____@____.com) She took apart beads from my mother's wedding head peice and created various jewlery pieces for the girls n our family--- she is creatinve and works in your price range....
K.,
Would a portrait either of the occasion or your child fit the bill? Having them pictured in their christening outfit would be a great idea. A nice picture frame to go with it would be good too.
Good luck,
M.
I don't know what your budget is, but I bought my daughters godparents a charm & necklace...necklace said "#1 GODMOTHER & #1 GODFATHER"
How about a gold disk that can be worn on a chain or placed on a bracelet...one side engraved with "your daughters name and date of birth"...the other side engraved "Proud Godparent"
Hi - I was thinking that child made gifts make the best gifts and mean the most.. I dont know how old your daughter is but maybe you could take her to one of the create your own pottery places and have her help paint a special piece of pottery. They take care of everything for you at those places and the price includes everything, firing, glazing, etc...
Good luck
We did a giftcard to their favorite restaurant with a note from our son.
I went to kodak gallery & made a photo book. On the 1st page I added a poem about godparents (I found it on line)& then added pictures from the christening.
I think this is really nice...... each Christmas, my friend's Godchild gives his Godparents, who are married, a snow globe with silver snowflakes and figurines (angel, snowman or whatever) inside the globe, and then an engraved saying of love on a small, oval, flat, silver plate right under the globe. Very classy and so nice. She displays them all for each Christmas season, in a special spot in her home.
Try thingsremembered.com I bought a picutre frame and had it engraved.. Good luck!
How about a photo of your baby in a nice frame, or even on a t-shirt or mug?
I think the best ones are unique to the person's tastes. It does not have to be something with "godparent" significance, that will be clear if it is a gift from your daughter to them. I would also do something for each of them rather than one thing. For example, if the godmother likes jewelry give her a pretty silver bracelet or earrings and give the godfather something he likes (sports related etc). Good luck.
