My parents are coming for the weekend next weekend. I am so excited because we have lived here since March and this will be their first time visiting and seeing TN. I would love to take them to some historical sites, or whatever else anybody has some good suggestions for. This is what I thought of so far: Carter house, The Factory farmers market SAturday morning, wander downtown Franklin. I would truly appreciate any other suggestions that any of you have.
thanks so much in advance!

My husband and I take all of our out of town visitors to the Hermitage (the home of Andrew Jackson). Also, if you and your parents enjoy hiking, Radnor Lake is a great place to go and it's so pretty this time of year.

Try antiquing in Leiper's Fork. It's a tiny little hamlet about 15 mins from Franklin that has shopping, restaraunts, and beautiful scenery. To get there, simply take West Main out of town. After you pass Downs BLVD, go until you see the halfway market on your right. There will be a green sign that says to Leiper's Fork. This is Southall Rd, make a right. Take it till the end and you are there, make a left and you will see the downtown area. I recomend Pucket's grocery for food. There are all kinds of shops and galleries in this tiny town. It's great fun and perfect weather for it! Have fun!

Hi M.

You've probably got some more ideas than me at this point (and your visitors have come and gone) - just thought I'd connect as we have some things in common. I'm new to the area - my husband and I are both in sales, though I'm just getting back after a few year hiatus in coming year. Wondered what kind of sales you are in. My daughters are 5 and 3, and son is 1. I'm 39, moved to W. Meade from Chicago. So far, loved the Franklin Christmas Dickens festival, farmers market there and downtown too. Belle Meade Plantation well worth a visit. Hope this helps for future visits! BR.
