Hello, I am a single mother and looking for free or reduced price for legal services. I have always had a problem with the father of my children, but now things have gotten out of hand and my 4 year old daughter and 2 year old are being emotionally abused. He moves in and out with different girls, lets other kids call him dad, and scruitinzes our children over stupid stuff. For example my daughter wanted to get her hair cut for the first time of her choice. All the girls in her preschool class have shoulder-length hair and she anted to be just like them. So I took her to get it cut. It looks super cute, but her father only likes long hair. As soon as he saw it he kept saying mean things and when he found out the reason she wanted it cut he just got worse, telling her she should want to be an individual, not like everyone else. She is four, she is doing what is natural, and doesn't know what being an individual is. Well he apparently didn't lay off of her and when she got home she was very upset and even cried. What kind of person does that? He has also been lying about stupid little things what makes me know he is trying to hide something from me. Anyway, I know my kids are suffering and need to get out of the situation. Sorry so long, but any help would really be great. Thanks in advance.

Elkhart has legal aid. If you call them they can tell you what's around South Bend too. Or you can just dial 211 and they will refer you to the help you need. not just for the legal stuff but they can help you with finding someone who can talk to your daughter to make sure she's processing what has happened in a healthy way. They also have help for lots of other things too. give it a try.
if you are in the indianapolis area, you can go to http://www.indylas.org/. i believe it is contingent on your income. there is a phone number you can call and get more information. there is also http://www.indianajustice.org/Home/PublicWeb/LegalSvcs, where you can search for help by county or city. hope this helps!
