Looking for Fantastic Walking Sandals

I'm on the hunt for a great pair of sandals for this summer. I want to be able to wear them instead of tennis shoes, so they need to be super comfortable for trekking around the parks, zoos, etc. with the kids. They have to have some support- not flat like flip flops, and I would be really happy if they were less than $50! Does anything like that exist?

What can I do next?

I love my Tevas and have had them for many years and have put many miles on them. They fit well to my foot, I can run, climb, go in water and hike trails with them. They really are the perfect sandal and I have had them for years. I have heard that FitFlops are good as well, but I needed something other than a slip on/off shoe. For me, Tevas are like a sneaker with a sneaker/hiking sole. You can get them from $40 to $75 depending on what kind you like...there's lots of them on ebay sold for far less than Big Named stores sell them...

I love Birkenstocks and you can find them made from the Birki material that is very very leather like and does not feel cheap at all....these are alot cheaper than the ones with the leather uppers and you get all the same support of a regular Birkenstock.

Try Earth Shoes. I think you can find them at Wal-mart now depending on your shoe size!!

Fitflops. I believe they're $49.99 or so. I own two pairs and live in them. They also claim to work your leg muscles when you walk.

Bjorn sandals and you can get them at Marshall's. They are usually over 100 bucks but half price at discount outlets like TJMaxx and Marshall's. They are very comfortable.
