Hi there.

I'm a new single mother myself and am in the process of finding daycare for my return to work. Bright Days daycare in Newport is a place that the United Way uses, and they provide assistance with paying for the daycare. I do not qualify for state assistance since I make too much, but the United Way allows you to make much more money and still receive assistance.

They also have a list of in home daycare providers that United Way will help pay for as well. Information is as follows:

Carol who has the list of in home providers phone number is ###-###-####, ext. 2034.

June who is the United Way person, is at the same number, extension 2028.

Beth who is the coordinator at Bright Days in case you're interested, her extension is 2041.

I have an appointment with the daycare center today, and can let you know what I think of it if you're interested. Good luck with whatever you decide.

Abby's Daycare is great. I visited them a year ago when I was looking for childcare for my daughter. There is also another Abby's in the Taylor Mill area. They are great, but relatively expensive. I take my daughter to the Little Red Schoolhouse in Taylor Mill. Little Red is amazing & you can set up an appointment anytime to go visit. They also have deals w/ certain local companies for discounts. Good Luck!!

Hi, my name is A. and I just moved back to the Northern Kentucky area. I have a two month old little boy and am trying to arrange a few babysitting assignments so that I may stay home with him. Would you be interested in home child care? If so, just let me know! Thanks!

J.,
I have headr nothing but good things about Abby's--BUT when I checked with them a year ago, I was informed that part or full time didn't matter--it was $160 a week, up to forty hours a week, for children under the age of two. All the centers I called said the same thing: full time prices for under twos. I hired a part nanny through Great AuPair instead--and had greater flexibility and my child stayed in her own home. You may want to look into an older babysitter to watch your child in your home.
