This is what I give my students...
Brrr it's cold outside
And this snowman soup is for you.
Stir it all togehter with a candy cane,
And enjoy this warm winter brew.
A few years ago, my daughter received a very cute Christmas class gift from one of her classmates. It consisted of a package of hot chocolate, marshmallows, and a candy cane. Along with these ingredients, they included a very cute saying about hot chocolate. I cannot find the saying they attached, and I was wondering if anyone has seen it or knows of this saying. Thanks for your help.
Thank you for all the great responses. I knew I could count on Mamasource Moms! I found several different versions and I will keep them all on hand for future class gifts. They were a big hit in the first grade class.

Hi D.-
I found this link to "Snowman Soup" tags. The tags look pretty big, but you could make your own and just use the saying from it. I'm still searching online. I'll let you know if I find more.

Hi D.,
My son just came home today with this very same gift from his teacher. I thought it was a great idea and want to save the little card that went along with it.
The bag contains: hot chocolate packet, mini marshmallows, hershey kisses and a candy cane.
The card has a picture of a snowman and is titled "Snowman Soup" and reads:
Snowman soup will warm your heart, Hot Cocoa and Marshmallows that's the start, Chocolate Kisses for a taste that's sweet, This will make the most perfect treat. A Candy Cane stick will make it just right to keep you warm all winter night.
Hope that helps!
I have it...I just need to locate in my emails!!
D.,
As promised...have fun!
1 individual pack of hot chocolate mix
3 Hershey's chocolate kisses
10 - 15 mini marshmallows
1 small candy cane
Attach the Following Note:
Snowman Soup
Was told you've been real good this year.
Always glad to hear it!
With freezing weather drawing near,
You'll need to warm the spirit!
So here's a little Snowman Soup!
Complete with stirring stick.
Add hot water,
Sip it slow.
It's sure to do the trick!
You could also check out Hallmark, I know they sell a hot chocolate kit and I'm sure it would have some cute poem on it.
can't remember which crafty girl i saw on t.v. but she had a plastic bag filled w/ the hot choc, then marshmellows on top tied/closed like a cone shape then a chocolate covered spoon tied on the outside (that she dipped) maybe sandra lee. look on her magazine website or martha's or rachael ray's
I don't know the poem, but I know a way that makes it look really cute. Make "icicles."
Buy the disposable cake piping bags (wilton cake sells a box of 12 for just a couple bucks at most craft stores). They are clear plastic and come down into a point. Layer hot chocolate mix, mini marshmallows, mini choc. chips, or candy cane bits, or anything that would be yummy in cocoa. Tie it off with a cute ribbon, and add the little poem.
You actually save a few bucks on each one because you buy a tub of cocoa and spoon it out, which is a little cheaper than the packets and it certainly looks nicer than the little cocoa packet. Besides that it's fun project for you and the girls!
I think a kit was in a Family Fun magazine last year.
hi, this is the one we got and use every year. For the adults you can call the marshmellows snowman poop.
Magic Snowman Soup

Top with snowballs
Stir occasionally while sipping
And enjoy THE MAGIC
Include: packet of cocoa, two hersey kisses, mini candy cane, and ten or so mini marshmellows

When icy fingers, nose and feet
are wishing for a warming treat.
Don't let your frosty spiriti droop,
make up some tasty snowman soup.
Hot chocolate from a powder mix,
the first step in this sugar fix.
Sweeten with a kiss and hug,
Both added to your steaming mug.
To mix it well, a candy stick,
is certain to do just the trick.
And finally, finish up the stuff,
by topping with a sugar puff.
Now sip and though it may be snowing,
Your insides are warm and glowing.
This snowman soup had one packet of hot chocolate, 2 hersheys hugs, one hersheys kiss, and one candy cane.
I think it should have included marshmallows too. I bought it at a craft fair to copy.
Have fun!!!
