Looking for Candles!

I admit it---I'm a candle freak, but I cannot spend a lot of money on candles. Does anyone know where some nice inexpensive candles are? WalMart is great but they usually have the same scents every season.
I even belonged to Scentsations, but they're kinda pricey. Same thing with Yankee... I just can't spend that kind of money for candles.

Thank you!!

I love candles myself...and didn't want anything pricey. I found a great place located in Rowlett. In fact I have many of my girlfriends & family going there now. They are called Legacy Candles and you will absolutely love them! I met them through a fundraiser 5 years ago at my son's elementary school. Go to www.legacycandles.com. Believe me, you will have a hard time deciding which scent you want once you get to their shop! Happy shopping :)

Have you tried the dollar stores or the 99c store? Tuesday Morning also has plenty but I think some of them are closed for two weeks at the moment. Sears also had a whole lot on clearnace last week.
Hope that helps.

Hello B.,
My name is A. and I saw your question about Candles. I think you should check out this website www.scentsy.com/922

Scentsy is a new wickless, flameless, smokless & leadless candle that everyone is going crazy about! Your warmer is operated by a 25watt light bulb, and all you do is put one of the 80+ fragranced cubes on the lid, and the heat from the lightbulb releases the highly fragranced oils from the wax. The best part is it so safe for kids and pets. The liquid only heats to your body temperature, so there is no chance of burns or fires! The other perk, is you can use the warmers as lamps or nightlights for your kids! Both of my 2 kids have them in each of their bathrooms...and they love it!

I am a Star Director with this company, and have 6 of these lamps in my home. EVERY Time someone comes to my house they comment on the fragrances.

You can check out the website at www.scentsy.com/922 and then if you have any other questions, I will be happy to help you out! Let me know what you think, A. K.

DJs candles by Diane are the VERY BEST candles in the entire world. A votive is $1 or maybe now $1.10. It used to be buy a dozen get one free. They are located in Ft. Worth but worth the drive!! Once you know which scents you like you can purchase online: http://www.deejayscandles.com

I love Ambrosia and Plumeria. One little votive can make your entire house smell delicious b/c all the candles are double dipped.

They will also fill any candleholders for you.

I, too, am an addict. I buy mine at Michaels. I get large jar candles for 3 for $10 when they are on sale. Regular price, they are $4.99. They always have 40% off coupons so they are a great price at any time! They also rotate out their scents. Right now I have a house full of vanilla cupcake and honey butter!! In a few months, I'll have spiced pumpkin and baked cookies!

If you burn candles that often you should look into soot free candles. All that soot can settle in your lungs. It may cost more but it would probably be worth it.

The best place for candles is WIK in Denton. They have a location at the mall here, but I think they may have a couple other locations, and they ship. They aren't as expensive as Yankee and such... they have the best scents for sure, and they are long lasting! They have a website...

My husband used to work at For Every Body and I think their candles smell wonderful. They sell them at Kohls (I can't think of where else right now) and you can often find them on sale for pretty cheap. Luckily the company has computer questions for my husband fairly often and they usually send us a box of candles as payment.

My Mom sells candles...check out

I understand you don't want to spend alot of money but it really is true about candle quality and burn time. You might be saving a little buying cheaper candles but they burn quicker and emit more fumes than better candles. If the jar is getting alot of black around the rim they means it is lower quality.

If you are interested in trying out any of them message me. Don't order online b/c you'll have to pay for shipping and we can find a place to meet.

The other place I'd recommend is Pier 1 but they are about the same price.

Hi B.!
Have you heard of Scentsy? It is a flameless, wickless candle. Our warmers use a 25 watt light bulb to melt wax bars that are HIGHLY fragranced. The wax gets warm but not hot. So if it should get spilled, it won't burn kids or pets. We have over 40 warmers to choose from, and over 80 scents. The investment is the warmer for $25. The scent bars are only $5.00 for 60 to 80 hours of burn time!! We also have package deals. I know if you were to try them, you would never go back to candles! You can visit my website: www.scentsy.com/10505 to check them out. You can place an order online, or if you have any questions you can call me. My number is on the site. A.

put a posting in the teacher's lounge seeking unique candles. maybe you could have a candle trade once a year like at the end of the year or some holiday. you could have a party and have everyone bring a candle. then before the evening is over, have each person that brought a candle, take one candle (of course not their candle) with them when they leave.

Hi B., if you are just looking to "burn" candles for just lighting and ambiance then walmart, Ikea or Jo-ann's would be your best bet.
Keep in mind the burn time, when considering "value" when comparing them. Many of the very inexpensive candles are that wierd "whipped" wax that burns up so fast or tunnels down the core of the candle, vs burning the entire candle. So you are really only burning 1/3rd of the candle, and buying 3 candles vs one. And then only enjoying the fragrance when you are practically standing right next to it, so often you need one in several rooms of the house to enjoy the scent vs 1-2 highly fragranced candles depending on the size of your house.

If you are looking for fantastic fragranced candles to scent your home, then considering having a candle party, so you can EARN free candles vs paying for them :)

And wouldn't you know, I know a Gold Canyon Candle Rep. (Me! :)) and I would love to throw a home or catalog party for you! I bring over 80 scents to your home to sample. If you are interested, you can email me at ____@____.com, or go to my website to check it out at www.mygc.com/txcandlefreak.

Over 70% of thier candles are priced less than Yankee, White Barn etc but you can earn them for FREE with night of friends, food and fabulous fragrances, not to mention there are tons of scents to choose from, and there are flameless candles available - they truly are the World Finest candles! I was converted over 8 years ago (formerly bought Salt City, White Barn and Illuminations and others), and have been selling them for about 2 years almost. Sorry, I get carried away.... Clearly, I'm a fan and a true candle freak :)

Tater Sue's in Dallas usually does wholesaling a few Fridays a month. I love their candles because they also put a mini candle in the lid. If I get the $10 size, it lasts a long time. Last time he or his wife came out, they had several sizes. So if you know you love a scent you could get the $15 size (It would cost at least double if you got that size from Yankee Candle company, etc.)

###-###-####. I just called. He doesn't have a web site but can get you a list of all the scents.

I believe the candles are lead free. I don't know what kind of wax he uses so if you are being environmental you might want to ask.
