Looking for an Affordable but Great Maternity Photographer

I'm a doula and have seen a lot of pregnancy photography. I've only looked at her web site, but it looks like this woman does beautiful work: http://www.saraatkinsphotography.com/index2.php

Tracey Hedge is an amazing photographer and does a lot of maternity work. Really reasonable rates.
She is in the Redding area though. She is willing to come on site. The best photographer I've come across in a long time.

Wish you were in the Central Valley area. I know a great Fresno photographer, Bob Marcotte. His studio is Marcottee Photography. http://www.marcottephotography.com/ Take a look at his website. Under the portfolio section heading "Commercial & Published" there is one maternity photo (picture #24). It is a little more revealing than I would feel comfortable with, but it is beautiful and if you look at his other pictures of people, you can tell he has a real feel for catching the essence of a person.

I know he is too far away for you, but thought there might be some central valley moms who would be interested. I honestly don't know his prices, but his work is fabulous.

Huelar Galleria Portraits (Marc & Lulu Huelar) a very small studio, and beautiful work. This couple have 4 kids and so they are very understanding about all things prego and baby. When I had mine done I was nervous at first, but they really make you feel totally comfy and at home. I would also highly recommend the first year panel that they do. $40 and you get a free sitting for baby at 3 mths, 6 mths, 9 mths, and 1 year. They have you pick the best photo from each sitting an hold it for you. Then after the year is up (it goes really fast!) you get all the photos in a nice mate frame. I cried when I saw my daughters. You really forget which one you picked, and what she looked like at all the stages. You can also order packages at the time the photos are done. Baby pictures are expensive, but well worth it! I added up what I spend on coffee for one year and that made me feel better. Photos of your child you can keep forever, pass on to your child and they can show their kids someday. :)

If you're looking for something more personalized (but still affordable) try Keri Vaca with small miracles photography (www.smallmiraclesphoto.com) she did my maternity photos and I love them. She's very personable and I felt very comfortable with her. Her fee includes a small photo album and digital masters on a CD Love, love, love. Message me if you'd like to see how my photos turned out.
Also, there's no need to travel - she'll come to you. And she's great at framing photos perfectly so everything in the backgroud looks perfect too.
Now that I have an adorable 5 month old little boy - I am so glad I took maternity photos (I did them around 8 months)

I used a photographer by the name of Denise Olsen in Pleasanton, her contact information is below. after looking around I found her to be fairly reasonable. She did a great job with my pictures. if you check out her website she has examples of her work as well as her price lists. also something for you to consider if you have not heard about 3D/4D ultrasounds it was the most amazing thing I did while pregnant. you can actually see what your baby looks like. they give you colored pictures and a DVD set to music.

Connie is terrific. She'll come to your house or take photos in her home studio in Folsom. She took photos of our family when my son was 2 months old. She was very patient. She has kids of her own, so she is very understanding. I believe she has done maternity shots, although her specialty is babies and little kids.

I actually just had some head shots of my kids done by this young couple who've been in the bussiness for I guess a few years, the pictures were great and so were their prices, they came to our home which was great. I now have them booked for a couple of other family events. Although they're not Maternity Photographers, they are photographers and I'm sure they'll do a great job. There # is ###-###-####.

I don't know exactly what your looking for, but you don't have to go to a fancy specialty photographer. I had my pictures taken at WalMart and they came out great, and I didn't spend a fortune getting them done.
