Hi Moms! I was hping someone out there might have some advice for me. I love this site as everytime I have asked anything I have always received such reat advice. I am looking for a dentist for myself. Now that my little one is 21 months and we are brushing his teeth every day, I am realizing how neglected my teeth have been for far too long. My adult teeth came in all croocked becaue my teeht are big and I have too many for mouth as countless dentists have told me. My parents could never afford braces and through one crisis or another I have always put my teeth on the back burner. I am looking for a dentist that can help me get my mouth back in shape and help me feel better about my smile. I know I likely have lots of hours in a dental chair ahead of me, but I am tired of making excusees and need to take charge of this. Does anyone have any good dentists they use or any that they have done extensive dental work with? I would love to hear any suggestions and if there are any bad experiences I would love to hear about that too. I am willing to go just about anywhere in Houston for the right dentist.

I would heartily recommend Dr. Lora Mason and the Mason Dental Team in Bellaire. It's a family owned business and she is a WONDERFUL Dentist. I hate going to the dentist and she and her staff make it that much easier. My office is across the driveway from hers and we all use her because they are easy to work with, do excellent work and are very flexible!!!

Not sure where you are, but in Pearland, I highly recommend Dr. Montz (http://www.pearlandsmiles.com/) He has 4 children himself, so he "gets it". The staff is very friendly and the hygienists are really good at what they do. I too went to him after several years of neglecting my teeth (4 children in 4.5 years--go figure!) and they did get me back on track. Good luck!
I recommend my dentist who is the most gentle dentist I've even had and I will see no other. You will want dental insurance, as she is not cheap. Dr. Ronada Davis is with DDS Associates in the Scurlock Tower of the Houston Medical Center. You will have a beautiful smile with her!
I have major issues with dentists and put off wisdom tooth extractions for many years because I was so afraid. I finally found a dentist who was completely understanding of this, and very gentle and patient with me. His name is Dr. Paul Chang of Epic Dental, located on I-10 at Campbell. The number is ###-###-####. He was SO gentle with the extractions that I didn't even know he was done. I have since taken my children to see him, and he's very calming and mild-mannered with them. He's very soft-spoken, and won't do anything until you are ready. Good luck!
I highly recommend West U Family Dental at 4101 Greenbriar. Drs. Moukarim and Saliba are absolutely fantastic and so understanding! They specialize in cosmetic dentistry but will not push you to do what's beyond your comfort level or budget. Everyone in the practice is so friendly and professional. The practice manager, Mychael, is so sweet: she gave me an outfit when my daughter was born after having known me and my husband for a very short while. The number there is ###-###-####.
