J. Lee's favorite dentist is Dr. Joan Sefcik. She's centrally located, a biological dentist, and a great in all respects.
I am in desperate need of a new dentist! The person I saw was very nice & recommended by a friend but they haven't had all the extensive work in their mouth that I've done. I have 6 caps/crowns and have a tooth that is bleeding badly when I floss since a filling was put in by a local dentist - it looks cracked but they say it seems fine...I've never had this happen before and unfortunately have lost my trust in this dentist now...I'm in the NW area and I am willing to drive to other areas around Austin if they are an excellent dentist!!! Any ideas?

I love my dentist. He's a perfectionist and an artist and has given me the absolute best care over the years through two rounds of braces, tooth extractions, two upper and lower jaw surgeries and gum surgery. He is Dr. Mark Peppard, and his office is at Spicewood Springs Rd and Greenslope. ###-###-####

Dr. Cole is a biological dentist and one of the top in Austin.
Joe Neeley is very talented!
Drs. David Carr and Bryan Smith are excellent. I have a crown put in and they did an excellent job. No problems, but if I ever have one they make it a top priority to get me in and take care of it (lost an old filling and had the replacement in in no time) Everyone in the office is sweet but efficient. Dr. Smith filled my last two children's teeth without using that awful/painful shot to deaden the mouth. It was a fairly shallow cavity but definitely needed filling. He did it in 5 min. I was amazed. They are off of Far West Blvd. on Hart lane...(that's north and west to this South Austin girl :) understand Austin's grown a bit) Try calling and give them a try...we've been going for 20 years and added our kids to the patient list...they just might help restore your trust. ###-###-#### office
Dr. Helen Ragsdale. I LOVE her. Hate dentists, but LOVE her. She's been my dentist for 20 years and have referred just about everyone I know and they're all happy. You won't be disappointed.

Good luck!
If you live in the North Austin area then you will love Dr. Fred Wilbur. He is very friendly, soft spoken and really gentle.
Dr Swanson with Cedar Hills it is located @ 1431 and 183. Their number is ###-###-####. They are really great.
Austin Dental is on Parmer Lane, and I use Dr. Liz Willis or her husband Dr. Hoppy Lane. Both are excellent dentists and really take the time to listen to you. The staff is also wonderful and easy to work with. Good luck finding a new dental home.
I also recommend Dr. Mark Peppard. I just got started with him but he's personable, patiently explains things.... and his staff is wonderful too.
I have two awesome dentists for you:
1. Dr. Dan Matthews in Westlake. Pretty good drive from Central Austin, but they are great. Nice staff and beautiful office, but more importantly very effective and knowledgeable
2. Dr. Tana Busch. Located on Steck. Dr. Matthews used to office with Dr. Busch. Dr. Busch is great. I would send my mom to her and I would also send my children to her trusting that she could handle any dental issue. She knows what she is doing and is super nice.
Both offices are focused on putting you at ease.
Good luck!
